Have you any pictures of the interior. I'm currently building a camper based on an L300 and always after ideas - Thanks Good luck with yours - hope the rust bug hasn't taken hold as they did know how to corroded Its rusty everywhere along the gutters, almost like it wasnt seam sealed from new. Usual rust around the doorsteps and a bit above the window in the side door. Theres more under all the new bits of paint. I really want a set of the bedford/vauxhall windows that slide open otherwise I'll have to cook with the door open. I'll get a pic up of the interior. Its got 2 forward facing seats and rear kitchen. The windows was a big problem for me, tried some from a delica but they wouldnt fit. In the end I've had to get some made :-0 which is not cheap just waiting for them to arrive. Hopefully I've sorted with the rock and roll bed. When I get the windows i'll post a thread for my van

As title I'm selling a pair of van doors. I bought these for a project i'm working on. In the end I couldn't use them however they were invaluable for measurements (hence why they have been drawn on) Now surplus to requirments. They both have corrosion and need work but would be perfect as back up spare doors. If they don't sell when I finish my Anglia i'll rebuild these and sell them repaired. As it is £70ono for the pair. I'm in Yorkshire but do travel a bit with work so might be able to arrange somat regards that. SOLD SOLD SOLD Thanks

That looks a cracking project and I bet that mileage is genuine !! as for a upholstery when I worked for BMW we used Pickerings in Bradford. Been going years and have a good reputation. The stuff that came back was always quality. I'll certainly be contacting them when I get my Anglia seats done.. Good look with the resto...

On the Anglia that I dealt with it had the same issues as stated previously. I changed all the fuel pump / electrical parts like you did. When I took tank out it was fine which left only the fuel line. I'd fitted a new filter so confident it wasn't picking wibblepoo up. And when I disconnected the fuel line at carb - nice clean fuel coming through. Given how much a fuel line would cost to fit I still say thats next best option. When I cut through the line I took off the Anglia the inner diameter had been restricted by a build up of jellied fuel - it was half the internal diameter it should be. THe symptoms you give would make sense as when the engine is wanting more fuel it cant get it. It must be simple job to bypass the factory line to at least tick it off the list. That SInger I had, had the very same problem but that had been stood since 1974 and you couldnt get anything through that fuel line !! Only other suggestion is to swap some of the electrical parts again - no guarentee that they were 100% again just to illiminate.

That looks superb, must be rare in that colour. My wife has one of these 40k from new same as yours never welded but it's been in my mums garage for a few years now. Must dig it out and use it again (too many cars and no enough time)

Done a grand job. IMO looks a lot better with no bull bars etc. Hopefully making a an effort on my L300 van in the next couple of weeks as back on track with my other vehicles. Hope I can update as much as you did with this one :-)

The only thing I can add to this is - I once had an Anglia 105e that had been off the road many years with 14k genuine. It would start and run no problems but it had similiar symptoms to what your describing. I'd rebuilt petrol pump and still no joy as well as replaced all the usual. As a last resort I decided the only thing I hadn't done was changed the fuel line. So I fitted a new 1/4 " copper fuel line as per original and it was spot on. When I cut through the original fuel line the pipe had been restricted as over the years with it being stood and fuel 'going off' the internal diameter was half what it should be. New line on and it rang like a dream and still does to this day .. Other than that I cant think of owt.
If you want a good mechanic - I know a good mechanic at Garforth that is very reasonable and doesn't charge the earth. Had a problem with my Capri which he fixed for a very good price.. Or I know a good mobile mechanic I sometimes use who is Ossett based . PM if you need the info... Si

sadly they are not worth a lot. I do know where there is a spares car if your interested and I doubt it will be for much. The owner has recently passed away and it's in a lock up near me. As for price I think they go for around £1500 .. I'm no expert on these though. Nearest I had to the mark was a Standard 10..

ANd you spotted my mates Golf with the coke cans in the wheels (my son is trying to buy this car) Great pictures as always .. Maybe see you at Thornes next Friday ??

Will look forward to seeing how you progress with this. I have the last of the line L300 vans same shape as this which I'm converting into a campervan. Might need to ask for advise when the time comes to lower it (i'm waiting for the camper equipment and glass to be fitted before I tackle that) Regards your wheel alingment issue. If you've rotated tyres / checked pressures etc than I would check the rear axle. Tracking is not a wheel alingment best to get a 4 wheel alingment done As a basic check on the rear axle measure the wheelbase n/s to o/s (measure from front of the front wheel to front of the rear wheel - easier than trying to find the centre point) you will get a differance due to manufacturers tolerance but it might show that the rear axle is steering the front. You can get some (very minimal movement) Just somat to look at When I have some movement on my camper L300 i'll post a topic up and seek advise on mine then

Glad this is getting some attention. If you fancy selling those 14" wheels let me know as I could do with some wheels for my 1986 Lancer. Regards parts - it's always worth trying Mitsubishi, I have a very friendly parts guy at local dealer and he's sourced most parts form my lancers (I have 2!!) and also for an L300 van I have. Yes sometimes prices are dear. But the L300 i'm turning into a camper and I picked up a genuine side glass for £70 + vat the other day which I didnt think was bad.

As title after some alloy wheels to fit a Mitsubishi L300 panel van 2wd (not 4wd as they're 6 stud) - want some period looking wheels (not modern) Or can anyone help with what to search for. Standard wheels are 5x114.3 5.5J 14" but fancy something a tad wider and bigger - maybe 15" x 7J ? any help or ideas greatly appreciated..

I went past a 51 reg yesterday - it looks no different to the mid 80's ones ;D Looked kinda weird on such a late reg I might go down the h100 route as they're easier to come by and cheap too with decent standard kit, a front end swap would be the first mod as they look awkward with the round lights and rounded bumper. I think you need to put a post up, its still an old skool motor in design and would give us inspiration fella ;D ;D ;D I didnt realise they were any registered as late as '51' I thought the emissions brought in the millenimum killed them off. My log back states 2001 (declared manufactured 2000) I suspect to get round the tax issues but not 100% sure. I looked at the H100 as you say more plentiful but I just had to get the Mitsubishi and yes the H100 is an awkward looking thing.! But it's doable. I went to strip a Delica yesterday and it had the later wide headlamp / grill arrangement so woudn't be a difficult swap. I'll stick to mine as it is though .. I'll start a readers rides on it but not yet as i'll wait till some progress starts - i'm in the hands of the camper conversion company as they are doing it as an 'as and when' job to keep the costs down.
