They have the protection circuit built into the battery. It's not just a few cells linked together.
Also they hold their charge over time. So much better than lead acid anyway. As I say the only issue is thier capacity. They tend to be alot less capacity for a given cca so you do have to be careful when using the small ones that you don't run them flat accidentally. That's the only reason to avoid them on a road motor really.

Generally they are as they are made to be used in light weight applications
I wouldnt bother tho. Use a lithium battery. Lead acid is old hat now. I use a 9ah on my car which works great as long as you don't leave the ignition on accidentally or somthing like that. They are so light you could carry a backup tho.. and no they don't blow up when you charge them! Does your mobile blow up when you charge it?

Is there any bracing across the corner of the L ? If it's more of a triangle then something like 50x50x3 will do. If your relying on an actual L shape o With minimal gusset or anything then it will have to be heavier I think perhaps 75x50x4.

I think it's too thin personally. You're not even allowed 3mm side windows in alot of motorsport categories.

Re the master cylinder. It is quite common for them to go once you start messing with other parts of the system. The seals usually only travel over a small section of the cylinder under normal use but once you start removing parts and re-bleeding they travel over the whole length which may have corroded etc over time and this can damage the seals.

We put roller doors on ours a few years ago. Was relitivly expensive but the fact you didn't need to shell out for a frame aswell helped with that. It also makes the opening wider by 4 odd inches which is more useful than you might think also no headroom issues. They arnt insulated but really they don't need to be unless your heating the place.

Yes. But like I say once it soaks up fuel it can burn... or at least the fuel vapour can burn.

Pistons are scrap. Try looking for replacements. If you cant get them maybe consider new calipers.
The bores can be cleaned carefully with emery/wet and dry etc and finished with a flex hone. They are less critical than The pistons but you need to make sure there's nothing in the bore that's going to jam or score the piston.

Looks fine to me. Sound advice. Just take it back and get it set up again as it will need different needles
The foam isn't flammable but when it's soaked up a load of fuel it can be. It's unlikely You will get that issue with an su tho unless it's really badly setup or you have a really wild cam in it.

They help to persuade the air to follow the line of the body and direct it to the outside of the wheel, hopefully reducing drag. Fitted to many new high end cars, especially BMWs, although not so obviously :-) Still looking into design tweaks. Update. They will also add a little downforce.I got the feeling they were supposed to squirt the air up over the top of the wheel. Maybe you should built a wind tunnel next. 😁

Thanks guys. Thanks guys. So i should 'shamfer' the edge to be more rounded? I am understanding you right?? Now to find a file thats a little bigfer than a needle file haha. Just make sure there's a radius in the corner of where you have cut to avoid a stewss raiser, even a small 3mm radii is fine.. You can chamfer off the ribs on the top there without loosing any strength but its not that nessicary, just makes it look like you know what you're doing..

I agree, that should be fine if you smooth it out a bit. Things must be a bit different here in the frozen North, I would have made a mount ( not painted ) for £50 . don't have huge overheads and staff to pay though. 50quid is an hours work for me. Nothing to do with overheads. It's just what the time of a skilled guy is worth really, any less and I may aswell go do some overtime.

Mmm. 1 good cylinder. 1 oily cylinder that's probably got dodgey rings or something? and 2 that look like they have water ingress? Good luck with that one!
You can try a skim and see how it goes I guess.
