Wow, amazing thread. I've just read a load of it in one go. What happened to the big old Bluebird? I saw the photos of it painted and being towed away - did you do anything with the interior? Fantastic skills - thanks for sharing! I repaired the vaneer rubbed it all down and re varnished it painted the roof and wired it also got it re upholstered it looks ok inside I do the interiors but they don't really float my boat so always try and get out of totally finishing them

There was a whole lot more in finishing that one like plumbing electics gas getting the doors right but didn't bother getting any shots of that stuff I guess when your finishing a project that's huge you have to be in this weird zone

Back on this now There was a lot of old sealant around the edge of the roof after 45 years its consistency is pretty much the same as body filler it was 10 mm thick all round so I used a polly disc to remove it This is it cleaned up the laminator must have got fed up because there was loads of glass with no resin on air pockets that turned in to holes in the top and piles of resin that had been pored on and not spread Thats it recovered with one more layer of fibreglass The wires were layed for the ceiling lights then new board was cut to size and glued in place Then the original wooden trim goes back on Thats it ready to go back on the caravan
