For those who enjoy an unconventionally configured headlight arrangement - the Mulliner Park Ward Rolls Royce Silver Cloud & Bentley Continental with the nowadays un-pc 'Chinese Eyes' headlights;

Naughty trying to sell V5's ..... Yep, I can't think of any legitimate reason a private individual would buy those, or why someone from this community would wish to benefit financially from potentially enabling classic car-related criminality?

Highest mileage I know of without attention was a 504 diesel pickup which blew up at just over 500k when trying to shift a 7.5t wagon off the M1. That 504 was thrashed mercilessly round multiple depots but was serviced regularly and never run low on oil. I remember reading something about 20 years ago; it was being recognised as a UK record at that time, a business was running a VW Golf II panel van with the 1.9 litre non-turbo Diesel. It had just clocked up half a million miles with just standard servicing and 7 replacement clutches. It was still going strong. Many years before that I encountered a Rolls-Royce 20/25hp at a car show in Margam. I recall being told that it had covered a vast mileage, with 'million' being mentioned, (?1 million / 2 million?). It had accomplished this with 8 'engine overhauls'.

I've been trying to convince my wife that she needs one of these and this one has the cleanest MOT history of all of the ones I've found recently. I've sadly not convinced her yet but this one shouldn't hang around for long. The MOT history suggests it's been well maintained. It could be improved or you could just smoke about in it for a year and break it for 2 or 3 time what you bought it for.

Hi, Are you proposing to leave the tipping function intact? A bit harsh!! If you put that function on armchair they call it a riser!

I’d love one of those powered barrows/mini dumpers Don’t actually have a use for it, just looks great! 👍 My Mum's in a wheelchair, my 80 year old Dad struggles to push this uphill and it runs away with him going downhill, I was looking at this and wondering if we could swap the bucket out for an armchair!

I just stumbled across this Daimler DS420 for sale on ebay. Its last failed MOT details welding needed and a smoky engine that's probably not long for this world. Given the general condition of the car vs. mileage, I would suggest it has almost certainly been restored at some point during its 36 year existence; Who knows how many engines or engine rebuilds this elegant old gal might have had to clock up more than 860,000 miles? (And I thought I'd revive this 14 year old thread to boot!)

If it's of any interest; the price for the conversion, (adjusted to 2020 prices), would have been in excess of £11K - that's without the purchase price of the car!! The more I look at this, the more I covet it! I think this would look fantastic in a deep Azure Blue metallic. Then pop a 22R with turbo in it.
