Just looking at this thread, Honda used to produce a lot of coupes in the 90s - early 2000s: 2. Integra coupe (that one above is lovely) Not just a pretty face either, a very capable sports car! Very grippy, Evo magazine described it as the greatest front-wheel-drive performance ever car ever. Watch how it handles some of its peers;

Just looking at this thread, Honda used to produce a lot of coupes in the 90s - early 2000s: 1. Civic coupe 2. Integra coupe (that one above is lovely) 3. Prelude coupe 4. Accord coupe 5. Soarer coupe 6. NSX (still a coupe!) And there's probably a few more. And I like the look of all of them! But what coupes are they making now? Any at all?!

I agree, not a bad buy. SPECSBut if it was my buck I'd favour the Integra, (but dearer!) SPECS

That looks a lot more 'right' than the Alfa-Cherry hybrid in one of the posts below. The Escort's a beaut!

Thanks for that clarification (what do I know of these things) Ah well time to swallow my pride and try again (see what I did there) In fairness, the Mk VI is not dissimilar in appearance to the 7 s1. My Dad's car was built after Mk VI production was finished and 7 production was in full swing so the chap who built it preferred the look of the 7 nosecone and that's what he went with. (We've always joked that it's a Mk 6½). It transpires that a few of the guys working for Lotus, or associated works such as Progress Chassis, collaborated to produce a small run of late VIs before the jig was broken up. When I say jig, I understand that it was an old iron bedstead with tram tracks. I'll see your Jag 8 and raise!

Hmmm Lotus 7 special brings us to Austin 7 special ↑ Mk VI (the earliest Lotus production car). Another Austin 7 special was the Swallow-bodied Austin 7 Swallow. Standard Swallow was abbreviated to SS, a name dropped in the aftermath of WW2 with Jaguar Cars emerging;

What if I stump up the other 5%? The "Original chassis with some welding done and will need more welding." concerns me somewhat, knowing their propensity to rust under the bulkhead with the outcome of the chassis folding in half, as happened to a 1986 Dolly I rescued which had just passed its MOT, and also Sam Glover's recent rescue of a reasonable looking Dyane in the latest issue of Practical Classics magazine. I suspect it probably requires a new chassis, preferably galvanised, before you could drive it with no worries... How times change! Late 80s I remember a friend of mine picking up a fairly sound, running example to fix up. £20.00!

I wonder if they used this for inspiration when they designed Captain Nemo's car?

Any pictures of the outside of that car? Whist the inside is obviously along the lines of that Top Gear one, id imagine the outside could be quite interesting judging by the back end. We did the 'Pimp My Riley' at the Ally Pally classics car show in 2006 so it might well predate that Top Gear one. It was a pretty rotten car, the exterior customising was mostly in cardboard as far as I remember, pre-prepared and then applied to the car over the two days of the show. I think 'Chinese Eyes' sort of suit the model? (Although preferably not in cardboard).

My long dead Nana's sofa is in one of the earlier cars and her clock is in this one. Looks heavy enough to fracture someone's skull in an emergency stop!

Triumph Dolomite 1500HL. Middx. £1,850.00 [SOLD]1978. Drives. MOT expired, (exempt). ?Low mileage? M/OD. Sunroof. MOT history worth a check as it's indicative of some neglect of maintenance in recent years. To drive and improve.

Crosleys amaze me - but, Sebring is Sebring and of course we then need a Sebring Sprite The celebrated partnership of Williams & Pritchard bodied a number of Sebring Sprites, they also produced most of the panels for my Dad's Mk VI Lotus, (as well as many other aluminium bodied Lotus cars & specials of that era); Summer idyll by Chris, on Flickr Lotus Mk VI "680 WML" being built by Chris, on Flickr
