Found these pics of two cars that my Grandfather (in one of the pics) used to drive as a Chauffer for a Doctor in Southampton. We think one of the cars may be a Buick – can anyone confirm and identify the other one?

The actual one from The Italian Job, or just the same as? Same reg, same model. I'd go with actual. Great spot. Should imagine it is the actual car - it is known to still exist. In the film it appeared to be trashed by a Mafia Bulldozer but the car you see being trashed was actually a Lancia clad in Aston panels.

Those Excel wheels are superb - but would look better on a large, dark coloured car. Slots suit the Rascal better IMHO.

When I left school my ambition was to become a member of the 'idle rich' - the first half of which I've fulfilled . . . .

That looks a little precarious to me - how are the rear legs locked in place once the car is up in the air?
Personally, I prefer the look of this one even though it takes more physical effort:

following on from the avenger (although I cant see link, shape of light / to mini) Hillman Avenger. 1970–76 Contemporary mid-sized car from Chrysler with modern, coke-bottle styling and unusual “hockey-stick” rear lights May be its my age but I always remember the lights, they were so different compared to the Ford and BL offerings of the time. So, the connection is . . . that they are totally different ??

So, what would Ford give the English world cup team now? A Mondeo? Considering they all drive Bentleys, Ferarris, High Spec Range Rovers etc they'd probably all say 'No thanks' . . .
