Yep! fully agree probably sitting so high at the rear as the original arches probably have not been touched and probably just slapped the f/glass sebring arches on top. Here's the sort of thing that has inspired me to get mine right,

Cheers guys, it is nice to finally start seeing light at the end of the tunnel, it was scary stuff chopping up the fibreglass panels but all has come good and has taught us a thing or two. Got it pushed out again tonight to give the garage a good clean so its as dust free as possible when we come to paint, got a load of huge polythene dust sheets aswell. Any how need opinions on right height - I was thinking I may need to lower it further to sit right with the new wings but i'm not sure? This is it sitting on the 14" alloys with a 70 profile, Now the banded steels when fitted come out level with the arch spot on from my trial fit pic's earlier in the thread and the tyres i'll be fitting are a 60 profile as opposed to 70 fitted on the wheels pictured. I'm thinking the ride height should be good as it is? bearing in mind there is no glass in the car, interior or doors fitted so i'm expecting it to drop a bit more once assembled? I was planning on changing the springs before paint if needed, as I would be sure to take a chunk out of the fresh paint otherwise!! I'm really pleased with shape of the arch we have achieved - in relation to the position of the wheel as i've seen quite few where the arch is really out of shape - just had a quick google and this is exactly what I mean, Hope this is no-ones on here but i think the fit is terrible and its probably as a result of forcing/twisting the wing to fit and throws out the whole panel.

Things have slowed down on this due me having knee surgery but all good to go again now I took advantage of being off work to collect some bits though Heat wrapped and short starter motor, means I can fit it without removing the manifold ;D MX5 fuel pump, going to mod to fit into my original tank as I need a high pressure pump for the EFI. An original 60's surperscope rear view mirror, Plan is to have it painted as soon as the temperature starts to pick up, far to cold at the moment. Assemble car including anti tramp bars and pan hard rod. Tyres then need to be bought, so I can fit the banded Rostyles and sell the current le alloys to fund mot costs etc. Wire up/plumb in the EFI. Build the twin side exit exhaust (to exit in front of each rear arch) Will update as and when..... ......in the mean time a random pic.

Quality Project. Just a word of caution, check those doors for fitment, reason being is that I got my Sebring kit from honeyborne and it was an awful fit along with the front valence they supplied. Sebring kits are renowned for being a curse word fit, but I was really disappointed with how far out it was saying that the Doors could be perfect though! Looking forward to seeing your progress

At the stage now where I can think about buying some top coat and need to figure out how much I will need and whats best to do finish wise. Car in question is an MGB and will be doing full external, door shuts etc. in cellulose. Would it be worth getting 5 litres or is that overkill for the size of an MGB? Is there an advantage to putting lacquer over the celly? will it give it a better gloss finish and make it more durable? than just cut and compound celly paint finish? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clear-Lacquer-Car-Paint-Cellulose-High-Gloss-1lt-/390344713363?pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item5ae25ba493Cheers for any advice, I have spent ages on the prep and really don't want to ruin it it with the paint application. Cheers Gav

Really like ths, I miss my old 8v. I've actually got stainless steel battery cover in my garage, if you fancy it? Will dig it out if you like, don't want a lot for it. Let me know.

Here we have a job lot of Datsun/Nissan Front Wings - 8 in total and consist of the following from what I can gather, Genuine D22 Navara pick up Front Wing - o/s 2 x Datsun 720 Pick Up - o/s (both quite a bit of surface rust.) Nissan Primera p10 - n/s Nissan Sunny b12 coupe - n/s 2 x Datsun N10 Cherry - n/s Genuine N14 Sunny Saloon - n/s Please note I have been advised the panels fit/are the above but please study the pictures linked below to ensure I am correct. All nos and unfitted, some have surface rust, odd scratch in original primer as to be expected as they have sat around stored for a long time. Must be able to collect as I will not be posting these - cash on collection. Located at post code 'de13'. Here's some photographs, X2 X2 Cheap as I need the room and under pressure to get my mgb back on the road for my wedding, so all funds help!!
