I have one of these, albeit the 2l avantgarde with a more grunt and bells and whistles. The make a great daily.
They never had remote CL so that's not a fault...if you have the key type with a button that's just a small light on the key to find the keyhole in the dark. Pretty useless so no one replaces batteries!
Glws.

What a lovely looking car at a great price. What's the room in the back like? 3 belts?

One of my all time favourite wheels, had them on a mk3 escort and wanted them on my spitfire but it was too original to mod. They look spot on.

Same colour as my dad's old Escort 1.6 ghia NGK918P. Memory lane! Was an auto and I learned to drive between that and the manual driving school datsun cherry....reason I have always been comfortable with any transmission!.

You could fit a spitfire engine in there. And I don't mean the Triumph version......

Echo the sentiments about distance.....bought a scirocco blind off ebay for £450, £17 train ticket London to Lincolnshire and a great 170 mile drive back. Got 5 years out of that car, hassle free, just servicing, cv gaiter, a water pump and exhaust in all that time.
Anyway, I am waffling. Great looking car, GLWS.

Not the right time for me unfortunately, but a free bump for what looks like a super-clean and fairly priced stunner. I had one as my first car back in the 80s. A doddle to work on, light to drive, easy to park and suprisingly quick away from the lights. Huuuuuge turning circle. Good mechanical part supply too with the likes of Canleys.
Glws. Shouldn't be around long.
