Hi all got a bit more done this morning. I have cut the hole and fitted a mushroom vent. I have also made the patterns for the ceiling. This van and all subsequent ones will have a two piece ceiling instead of the previous three piece design. The cost is the same but it should look better. Cheers - mike

Hi all had a steady few hours today. I have cut the flooring so thats ready to go down tomorrow once I have carpet lined the step, nearside rear arch and side step areas. Spent a couple of hours fitting the seat swivel. I can usually fit these in 15 mins but toady was a real pain as one of the bolts had seized solid. They protrude through the floor by about 30mm so are often rusty but today was something else. I ended up grinding it of level with the fixing and winding it out with my windy gun. Tomorrow should see the new floor and flooring down. Cheers - mike

Another one... Out of curiosity, why did you remove the towbar? In my mind, that would have been useful if you wanted to bring bikes or a small trailer to wherever you're going. Hi I removed the tow bar because the customer didn't want it. I already have my next van so it may go on that one. cheers - mike

Blimey Mike, you don't take much of a break from one to the next ! Out of interest where do you source your vans from ? Hi there I don't source my vans from any particular place and usually have to travel for straight low mileage vans.I usually have to look at quite a few before finding the right van for converting. This van is a 2 owner,118k van with full history, first owner was a water bottle company so never worked hard. Cheers - mike

Hi all
just started a conversion on a 2011 Vauxhall Vivaro.
So far I have removed the tow bar and fitted rear parking sensors, removed the dodgy racking, flooring and ply lining, thinned out and rerouted the wiring loon, fitted a pair of limo tint windows to the rear doors.

A set of four range rover / landrover sport 19 inch alloy wheels in good condition.
They are fitted with 245 / 40 / 19 tires. Three are in good condition with 6-7mm of tread but the fourth one has a split. I do have two good tires to go with them though.
These wheels will also fit renault trafic/vauxhall vivaro and vw transporters if fitted with spigot rings and wobble bolts. I do have a set of fitting to fit them to a Vivaro.
£400

Hi all
I have decided to sell my winter bus.
She's a 1995 Toyota Emina Lucida, 2.2 turbo diesel,auto with permanent 4 wheel drive.
Shes done aprox 89k and is in good condition. She's never been welded and doesn't need any. The paintwork is all original and tidy but the laquer is flaking on the bonnet and tailgate.
The interior is clean and tidy and comes from a smoke and pet free home.We have upgraded the head unit to a Kenwood one and replaced the front speakers. She is the moon roof model so has extra head room and a large opening glass sunroof. She's also fitted with the optional hot / cool box from the factory. Just pop your pasties in it and after 30 mins driving they are nice and hot or pop the babies milk in it and it will keep it nice and cool.
In the last year she has had new tires, new front shocks and springs, new front discs and pads,a full service, cam belt, new sads couplings, new thermostat and a new battery.
She has a long mot and I would drive her anywhere.
Have a look at my Toyota Lucida winter bus thread.
i'm on 07504981885
Cheers - mike

Hi all
have decided to put the winter bus up for sale. I am off to Spain later this month and wont be back until March so she's not going to get used and it will hopefully be spring when we get back so my convertible will come out to play.
I will be sad to see her go as she has great to drive and totally reliable.
Cheers - mike

Hi all finished the last few bits on the Vivaro earlier. Made and fitted the last two bits of trim, fitted the tie backs for the curtains. All she needs now is a final clean of the floor, a good hovering and a wash and polish outside. I'm off to Cleethorpes in her tomorrow to collect some bits and bobs for my next build and try everything out so will have a cuppa in her and fire up the heating etc. Cheers - mike
