Got some more done this afternoon, both the rear pillars and nearside c post are carpet lined. The sliding door trim is carpet lined and refitted. Both the rear quarter panel trims are made, the drivers side has been fitted and the passenger side just needs finessing and lining. Both the screens for the rear door windows are made. That's it now until Sunday. Cheers - mike

Hi all
had a steady morning on the Vivaro.
I had to clean up and de-rust the step and give it a coat of primer and paint.
The step and wheel arch have now been carpeted and the new 9mm ply floor trimmed and fitted.
I hope to get the rear pillars and front step into the cab carpet lined later and maybe get the new flooring cut and fitted. Its a darker shade to my usual but shouldn't look out of place.
Cheers - mike

hi all
I've had a bit of time on the camper today.
I have been running the mains hook-up and the inverter to power my tools and hoover and all are fine.I have also had the inverter running to heat the hob and boil the kettle.
I can now complete the installation of the panels in the bottom of the cupboard.
I spent most of the afternoon underneath sorting out the cables for the reverse camera and split charge. They are now all fully fitted so I can put some trim back on for good.
Also got an hour on the passenger seat as it was quite grubby. The camper is having leather look seat covers fitted to match the rear seat but I really don't like putting covers over dirty seats.Still got the drivers seat to do.
cheers - mike

hi all
feeling a bit curse word today. I had a wisdom tooth removed this morning and it was seriously well attached. The anaesthetic is wearing off and its feeling pretty raw.
Anyways, I have been back on the camper. Both rear door screens are fitted and the drivers side rear door inner has been filled and painted.
Spent an hour on the ice install as the unit would not pic up any dab signals. I have replaced the dab aerial and now get a great signal so it looks as though the original aerial was faulty. This means the ice install is now complete so I have put all the dash back together.
Off to take some pain killers and then hopefully install the curtain rails for the side windows.
Cheers - mike

Hi all got an early start this morning as I have a surveyor coming. I have finessed the fit of the work top, done the final fitting on the sink and cut the hole and fitted the pop up mains socket. I have also been running a test on the replacement inverter by using it to power my power tools and its working fine. The fridge is also plugged in and running just to check. Next job is to make another shade for the drivers rear door, fit the tap and finalise the wiring, make up the panels to box in the leisure battery and heater. Cheers - mike

Hi all got another hour on the camper. I have fitted the seat belt stalks and now need to do the final fir and bolt down of the rock and roll seat/bed. This will be done tomorrow as part of the underneath work. The blank for the kitchen work top is now cut from 9mm ply and finessed ready for cutting the hole for the sink. It will then be laminated with another sheet of 9mm ply and have the outer sections reduced to 15mm ready for edge trim. Thats it for today as i'm off to take my grandson the feed the ducks!! Somethings are more important than campers. Cheers - mike

Hi all
got up early this morning as I have a hospital visit due but still managed a couple of hours on the camper.
It turns out that the Kenwood camera and head unit have to be connected using an adapter lead as the video signal is not carried in the main lead. Anyways I have sorted a lead and now have a video feed to the head unit. No luck on the DAB aerial though so I have ordered another one just in case its faulty but I suspect we are in a bad signal area as the dab radio in my workshop is useless.
Have also got the 240v socket/rcd wired and fitted and the 12v fuse box and wiring. When I get bacl from hospital it can all be powered up and tested.
Cheers - mike
