I just renewed my subscription for the next year by following this link www.performancepublishing.co.uk/mpsubscribe.htmlEasy to do, remembered my account details from last year and I even remembered my password, which is a miracle. Looking forward to another year of the crazier end of the automotive world Thank you! If anyone gets stuck, just call the office, they're proper human beings and are happy to help.

A minor correction - you cannot simply pay to access the paddocks. There's, what, 25000 people attending and if they all entered the paddock the mechanics couldn't work and the cars would never move for the crowds. As for 'press only' viewing areas, those are 'photographers' areas, even I can't wangle my way in there as you need PLI of something like £25 million in case you accidentally throw your lens under a Maserati which then ploughs into the crowd. Or something. There are so many visitors it's only sensible they limit access to certain places. Not many folks know that, at the very end of the event, you can walk on the track, get served champagne (for free) and watch the prize giving. You mix with the teams, mechanics, drivers, everyone, as the sun sets. No ticket needed, no huge crowds, great vibes and that nice feeling that you're somehow part of it. All this while the crowds sit in queues waiting to get home. @ NickI think you've got my details, I'd be happy to try and blag you and your missus access to the paddock next year. As long as you're smartly turned out then it shouldn't be a problem. Drop me a line, but don't tell the 24999 others trying to get in, please Genuine offer. @bizzle - More pics, please. I love your work. Mine are a bit iPhoney. ETA - I loved the Revival even when I had to buy my ticket (and one for the GF).

Some really interesting opinions on here (and great pics, too, thanks Dan). I love the Revival. It's a nonsense, much of it, but it's nice to immerse yourself in the silliness of dressing up, enjoying an expensive drink and watching some fantastic cars racing on the absolute limit on what is, many seem to forget, a fast and tricky circuit. Yes, there are hoo-rays and hangers-on, but I've found that, in the thick of it, there's a great core of enthusiasts who want to have fun while enjoying really good racing. The Settrington Cup was cute, just once, and I'm not overly fussed by the corporate stuff. I have met some great people there over the years (including my missus), but I totally get that it's not for everyone. I'll upload some of my pics when I get a tick. ETA - To comment on the crowding mentioned, above, that's a bit annoying at times. Queues for bars and bogs are inevitable with the success of the event. I love the aircraft, even as static displays (when did you last see a Messerschmitt up close?).

Well, there's a sticker for anyone who wants one. It will make you instantly more attractive to the fairer sex, you car will use less fuel, and your toast will never again land butter-side down if you put a MotorPunk sticker on your car. Or something. Goodwood was mental. I missed loads of calls from unknown numbers, spent most of Saturday getting sloshed, and Sunday enjoying the racing with quite a hangover. It was great fun. Oh, and I had champagne with the Duke (no, really!)...

Weird innit, you'd think that RR would be the most Motorpunk of forums yet this thread is forty pages less full than the Pistonheads equivalent. RRers don't read, or too busy welding to bother with magazines? Pistonheads is a busier forum, bitching about other people's cars and driving dull midlevel performance cars* is much more popular than enjoying older modified cars *unclench we're friendly with the PH guys, even done an event together and everything. Honestly, I expected a bit of a battering for even mentioning the idea over on PH but they've been really nice to us, so far! And I appreciate the kind comments on here, too. Cheers

Coming up to one year of MotorPunk magazine now. I just sit here, sniffing the print on those pages.... I love print. Anyway - issue 4 goes to print shortly. Contains cars from Lancia, Lada, Volga, Caterham, Morgan, Hillman, MG, Vauxhall, Mitsubishi and others. There's a thing from Vic Reeves, iffy old adverts and opinionated editorial. And a few laughs, too. You can buy a copy here - www.performancepublishing.co.uk/mp.htmlI guess I'm late to this party, but glad I made it. I've never read such a great mag for such a long time. I picked up issue 1 in a shop called magazine heaven. Took it with me on holiday. Laugh out loud stuff. I especially loved the watch review. It turns out the bloke I sat next to on the plane is a watch dealer who didn't see the joke. A great read that I read a few times over the week. I need to catch up with the back issues. Thanks! Here's the cover of issue 4. Our best yet, I reckon.

George is sort of a mate of mine, his SOUP channel is cool, but this very long time lapse of his rusty RR resto is well worth the 90 minutes (!) watching time...

We've got a Cafe Roadster inspired MG Midget with some lovely old school modifications appearing in the next issue of MotorPunk. Proper British thing, tweaked engine, flat paint, lovely. Went for a drive to get pics....
And then the gearbox broke...

Buggeration. Was at my GF's and saw lots of good stuff rumbling by, had to check online what the event was and, by then, I'd missed it. Nice pics, 'bizzle. Ta.

What's on the logbook?
If it's identical to a HiJet, apart from badges, then take the badges off and call it a HiJet.
