Whenever the Jag comes up in conversation and someone says 'oohhhhh I bet that drinks fuel' or something to that effect.. Well duhh, no one ever bought a 4.0litre straight 6, nearly two tonne car for economy did they? I get that enough with my 850, I can imagine it gets tedious in a big old Jag!

Possibly another crazy idea here, Ronal Turbos! I've considered them, but the centers stick out too much I think. I think they might not be too aerodynamic, but more for ventilating the brakes. With such a performance orientated car I thought it could do with the extra brake cooling

All well and good, fitting the Forge blanking plate on my T5, I've been told it's a pig of of a job though.

Yes yes yes! 100% the coolest thing I've seen for sale on here!
I'd have one of these over any 90's Skyline.

Well, some are retro and some aren't. Some cars that were in my price range a few years ago have now appreciated! Out if price range: 205gti 900 turbo E28 Dolomite 200sx Mk4 cortina What I'm looking at / for (not exhaustive) 306gti6 240 volvo, and anything with a t5 Rover 800 vitesse Vvc metro As ita a daily i need to keep the engine size low enough to not cost a fortune but high enough for fun. I disagree, you can still pick up 2.3 940 turbos for less than a grand, and that'd be my choice. Or an 850 T5, but I'm biased I haven't even broken £2k including purchase cost for my 850 and I'm already pushing a healthy 270 ponies. Other than a new M5, there's nothing on my commute that'll keep up

Volvo 940 turbo? pretty easy & cheap upgrades to 250-300bhp, RWD, relatively light (compared to lexus/jag - 1400kg stock) strong (solid) axle, well documented upgrades up to 500bhp+ or fit the same engine to a 340/360 for lighter weight. I was actually looking at 940s for a project anyway, that certainly might be the way to go!

Some very interesting ideas so far! I'd like to avoid auto if possible, but it's going to be a case of whatever the hell I can find I think! I'm budgeting around £1500 including any modifications, less would be better as I really wouldn't care if it broke A friend asked why it needs to be RWD, and the only reason I can come up with is so that I can do rolling burnouts when it's not at the strip

Having been to the Pod at the weekend on a RWYB day, I'm hooked.
I'm now scouring the classifieds for something RWD, cheap and that could have a bit of potential with some work..
Any ideas? XJ? LS400? Autos I know, but with everything ripped out and packing 280bhp, the LS can't be a bad idea?

I have a bare rebuilt Silvertop, BC box sat on a mk4 Fiesta subframe.
£100 takes it.

I don't know. A house sounds like the better plan to me You can sleep in a car - you can't drive a house I beg to differ.

As above, I'm after a late spec 2.3 940 turbo, condition isn't too much of an issue as it'll add to the sleeper appeal. I have a stripped out Puma on coilovers or a mk4 Escort I'd be up for swapping with. Needs to be a manual though! Let's see what you've got

Yes still for sale! I'm sorry if it seems I'm changing my mind every two minutes however I keep getting messed about! Was running 9-10psi, unsure of bhp but estimate around 170. The standard turbo can be upped to around 12psi with no issues. After that it just blows hot air! Larger turbos are easily sourced from many more modern Volvos. Once you change the turbo the limit on standard internals is around 300bhp which is incredible considering the car left the factory with 135bhp! Yours is the later model, so it should have the ludicrously strong bottom end, good for far more than 300 ponies Would you still consider a swap?

Surprised this hasn't gone, I still haven't shifted my motors else I'd have it! What have you got? Probably nothing of interest to you, a stripped out Puma on coilovers, and a 37,000 miles mk4 Escort Popular.

This surfaced on my facebook recently.. cant find any info on them at all.. anybody know of these hidden gems ? Just seen this one, am I the only one noticing the non-sunroof white one? Which either calls out replica, or genuine motorsport shell!
