Cheers for the replies chaps. Don't know if the diameter would work but i know the MG TF has a bypass valve built into the backbox on the driver side tailpipe. It worked with a vacuum actuator type thing! Been looking at fitting one to my MGB for a while but that's a bit lower on my todo list. The pipe is only about 1.5" though!?!?!? Just a thought. Bit too small I'm afraid, I'm after a 3"!

I'm currently in the process of designing and building a Y piece with an electric exhaust valve to completely bypass everything in the normal system, on private roads of course Officer... However, I'm struggling to find any electric valves now! Have any of you had one on your cars? I've found some China eGay specials that come with the Y piece already, although the quality of the product I'm certainly questioning, especially at £70. I thought about a manual jobby, but it's a bit too "bodged" for my liking. Any ideas chaps?

Saves messing around with swapping struts over, does anyone want my Puma as it stands? It's silver with 117k(IIRC), nothing inside bar a single virtually brand new Cobra Monaco Sprint seat and LUKE 4 point harness. Rear strut brace welded in, removed the back end of its sound deadening too. Arches have been done before but not great as it's coming back through, sills aren't too bad but it wouldn't surprise me if it cropped up as an advisory. AP coilovers, satin black Fanblades, Green cone filter. The rears knock as they never sat correctly on the top mounts, I was going to cut some 6mm rubber at work to take up the excess but never got around to it. I'll see if I can find some pictures. Not much history but for what I wanted it for it didn't mattter. It's been faultless, and a real hoon to drive. MOT until November I think, I'll double check on that. £350 takes it. Drop me a message on here, or email me on crowson15@hotmail.co.uk as I'm usually available to reply sharpish. You can just about make out the gap in the top mount on this picture.. More pictures can be acquired on request, lost most of them a few weeks back! It is what it is, I just need it gone. Ben.

I think the originals look best ! not sure what they are actually called ? maybe the late Saph ones !? 2WD were Lattice, and 4WD were the Sharktooths. Or vice versa, I think!

If you can find some, Hocks look ace. Or even out of the box thinking, Borbet A? I've got a set sitting that I've always meant to at least try on my Cossie! Here's my old 24v on 15x9 ET4 Wellers What, A's or the Hocks? I think A's would suit the lines of the Sapph. I assume this is the infamous Ade I read in FF

Just been doing this... 202 bhp. Or 101 per rotor. Still running in. Chuffed. Hell yes! I thought to myself, "is it ever going to stop revving?!" I pulled my finger out and got my recirc valve blanking plate fitted, she chatters quite nicely now

I'm going to see an a very late Audi S2 tomorrow at 16:00. I have passed the car for the last 3 months on my daily drive to and from work and two weeks ago, I plucked up the courage to leave a note on the screen. The owner is fully aware of my budget, and has invited me over for a look and drive :-) Excited!! Sweet! Always had a spot for these.

Pulled up next to a bloke in a W126 in traffic last week, we just looked at each other, nodded and mouthed "niiice" at each others cars. Retro Benz bros This is great, a brief moment of appreciation on behalf of both! Reminds me of something I read a while back about someone eating a sandwich whilst driving their car, and clapped eyes with someone else doing the same thing, they both raised their sandwiches in much the same way lol.

Outside lane hogging poo pushing donkeys that look at you as if you're in the wrong when they EVENTUALLY pull over, and then proceed to pull back into it when you've gone by! Undertaking is wrong, but is totally acceptable when the aforementioned crusty jizz stains crawl along in the wrong lane.
I even had some gomp in a Matiz brake check me when I sat on his bumper for the above reason, I had to laugh as I can't imagine 1.7 tons of Volvo is going to stop!

The one that does me though is; "Is that your grandads car?" I'm 22. Terribly sorry we don't all wish to follow the crowd and drive horrendously boring 1.0 Ecoshite cars.
But the fuel usage is another common one, yes you may get quadruple the MPG's I get, I'm usually lucky to break into the 20's, but I can bet my left (favourite) nut that I get far more smiles per mile than you!
