I have a set of white 15' Lenso BSX alloys for sale. They are 7j , 4x100 / 4x108 fitment, et20 i think.. matching 195/45/50 tyres, unsure of make, but all have plenty of tread left. wheels look to be near brand new, apart from some very minor kerb scratches on half of 1 outer lip. no centre caps - can be bought new for £99.99 , meaning basically free tyres Looking for £230 for these wheels, no offers at this price.... Collected from Abbots Langley , Hertfordshire. May swap for some cheaper 15' ford wheels+tyres and cash

i very much doubt most of the cars mentioned are ever going to become 'classics' , well, maybe in 40-50 years, but by then the majority of us will be long gone so wont know haha
mk5 fiesta zetec s clio 172 maybe clio v6
that cactus thing is just as ugly as a fiat multipla

If its all there, i don't see why you wouldnt get around 3k. Rs1600i's arent that common , and clean genuine ones are getting harder to find.
someone was selling a white one on facebook few weeks ago, wanted 6.2k.. it wasnt as clean as this looks, and had an rs turbo engine, so less original, and probably hidden rust.. Last time i saw his post, it was up for about £4000-4500.
they're only goin up in value now

My faith in humanity was higher than it was...but after reading that about the datsun... why cant people just not be such tramps going round stealing cars.. get jobs, buy your own. then wait til someone steals it off you after all your work.

Nothing special and no pics of it, but only car i miss much is my old Ax Gt from back in 2008. Had a genuine 40k, didnt have a spot of rust anywhere, it was literally minter than a mint itself. just needed a good mop and polish. only paid £100 for it aswell someone bricked the windscreen and i lost all drive for it. so sold it for what i paid for it. Last i heard he scrapped it

why do people assume if its left in water it will dissolve ? Have you not seen videos/pics/news stories about people finding cars in lakes?... and they look as good, if not better than most road legal versions on the roads today. Look at that bugatti that had been in a lake since 1920 something. Was still relatively complete and recognisable as a car., and the camaro and cadillac that had 6 bodies in them in america... That cars were still pretty much complete until they were out the water/in motion, and the fresh air got to them.
Wouldnt surprise me if it had been in there since during the joyriding days back in the 80s/early 90s
I love stories of old cars dumped in rivers/lakes etc. Theres just something interesting about them to me.

Similar story in Birmingham a couple of years back. The council pulled a couple of cars out a lake, one being an xr3i believed to have been in the water since the 80's. would love to know/see more of this. Just tried a google search but nothing

I didnt want to rattle can it, i thought the same thing when i looked at the bike this morning. would be stupid really. and would de-value it. Still not 100% sure if were selling it yet, its a nice little bike and as you say, would only increase in value and get slightly rarer , so would be better to store it away nice and safe . Had too many people mess me about on ebay so still not sure about it. makes all the genuine ebayers look bad . don't have the money atm to make it roadworthy either, thats probably the only reason I'm contemplating a sale. i can get the plug replaced with spares i have, pump the tyres up, some fresh fuel + oil and see if it'll go... if thats works then i can at least sell it as a running bike if i do decide to. Id like to clean it up and polish stuff but i don't have the ability or the right stuff to do so. Had someone tell me it could be worth up to 2-3k

Hi, thanks for that dodgerover... i have left it well alone lol. It doesnt really need anything painting to be fair, its all just covered in a thin layer of dusty grime and i don't have the righ stuff to clean it... so iv put it back for now... This must have been one of the lucky ones then!... i didnt check the mileage tbh, but i think it was around 4k.
Its been sitting untouched for 27 odd years, but wheels still move, brakes still work - very well too ! sounds like it has good compression.
I can grab some more pictures tomorrow for a better idea on what it looks like/its value.

i thought around that figure too, but I'm not a bike guy so I'm not sure. the other bikes of this era in good condition are on ebay at various prices up to 3k the one on ebay for 800 looks a right mess to be fair, but has been up on there for a while now - leading me to believe they arent very desirable lol. then i read your comment Its been sitting in the garage for near 30 years so needs some kind of refurbishment. It was brought to this house when my mum moved here in the late 80's....Was put in the garage, she got an austin mini mayfair and its been sat since then.

Would anyone know the value of one of these bikes , or where the best place to sell it would be ?
Its pretty clean being an old M reg from the 70's
low mileage, i assume 1 owner, original keys, tyres , even down to the tool-kit beneath the seat
paintwork is actually very good. just needs a good clean.

ah wicked mate thanks for that!, didnt know they were very desirable. was only 1 on ebay, and that was over a week ago i saw that ! Ill have the tank off tomorrow to give it a thorough clean, ill see if theres any local places near me and ask them, thanks mate Aerosol would be easier, it only needs a couple of minor touch ups really.. I'm not a fan of those touch up pens myself... its been in the garage for about 28 years now, so time for a clean up .

Not car related, but retro never the less.. I have got my mums old ts125j duster out the garage today and I'm trying to find some orange paint for it so i can respray all the panels , or what ones need it. Iv found info saying its called 'Strip Orange' .... but i cant find any paint with that name anywhere If anyone could help me locate some / preferably spray ( for edges and smaller areas ) , that would be brilliant Its one of these ( although ours has rear lights on the rear mudguard, and is totally 100% original down to its original tyres ) Thank You !
