Sounds like a plan! I've got my workshop 10mins away just outside Thame, pop over if you want to see whats involved when playing with these. Ah mega! What have you got over there? I've got a few things here to give you ideas. My daily is a 500hp turbo diesel saloon, there's a widebody twin turbo coupe here at the moment, and 2 others undergoing engine conversions. lots of cars and parts coming and going, I've got a 400hp twin turbo engine on a pallet if you want to build a real sleeper.

Massachusetts, but I lived in bicester, Aylesbury and northchurch, worked in thame for some years. There is a used DMF for a m103 on German eBay, I might get that and work out a second solution with a valeo and custom pick ups. I'm sure a decent machine shop could fab them in. If it is from an m103 that will work perfectly, you wont need to play about with the sprinter conversion then. Unless you want to eliminate the dmf? Another idea would be to fit the auto flex plate complete with it's pickups behind the sprinter conversion flywheel. You would need to do some machine work to the sprinter flywheel, mainly removing the sprinter trigger wheel setup and machining circ 5mm from where it bolts to the crank.

Ah, so you've bought the 300-24. In that case you don't need to worry about the cps magnet, either flywheel will bolt up and work. Just be wary of the ezl ignition module, they are a known weak point of that engine and very expensive to replace. One thing I will advise is not to use the normal 5 speed box on this engine, the ratio's don't suit it. Either use the getrag from the 190 cosworth, or get the 6 speed bolted to it. Can you confirm that the OM606 and the M104 engines share the same flywheel mounts? if so there is a place that makes sprinter single mass flywheel conversions (9in) that bolt to the OM606. I think this is hte case but before I go ordering.... They do indeed share the same flywheel bolt pattern, and I have one of the valeo solid flywheel conversion kit's bolted to my om606. BUT the diesel flywheel's don't have any ignition pickup points on them, so although it will all bolt up perfectly it wont run. I also have one of the valeo kit's on an m104 twin turbo, but that is running a standalone ecu so doesn't have the problem you will encounter. Where are you based?

Looking at your location, I'm going to assume that there is nothing in LC hughes near bicester any longer? Only things in Hughes yard now is a w124 e220 which I've had a few bits from and a a couple of w202's turning into rust. Nothing that you would need for your swap I'm afraid.

this engine is the KE_Jetronic, or CIS-E Ah, so you've bought the 300-24. In that case you don't need to worry about the cps magnet, either flywheel will bolt up and work. I've just put a deposit on a m104 320 24valves.... just need the flywheel gearbox and I've got a line on a better rear end ratio Cool, the flywheel is the hardest part to get for that. it must come from a m103 or m104, anything else doesn't have the correct ignition piokups for the ecu. Once you have the flywheel, you can get the correct gearbox to work with it.
