Pie Valley Buggies were doing a chassis to allow MGTF running gear to fit under any body designed for a Beetle floorpan - aimed at kitcars. Some info here: www.pievalleybuggies.co.uk/chassis.htmlNo idea if they sold many though

There are some construction videos on Youtube, here's the first one: I'm not convinced about the windscreen either, but the side profile looks good (see the 4th video).

Isn't that an Ataka Stratos, based on the Hawk kit? They were on sale in Japan around 2000 or 2001, I think, but I don't know whether the company still exists. Indeed those were extremely well appointed... all the better to endure the horrific traffic jams you can encounter there. What I cannot remember is whether the SR20DET engine was the only available option or Ataka would also fit Bussos and the like (at a price, natch) Looks like it was only Nissan engines, either NA or turbo: web.archive.org/web/20070307122857/http://www.atakaeng.co.jp/product/hfr/spec.html

Don't know if you've seen this article, but it talks about giving a tap to a tube to move it up into the box and then the olive falling off: You may need to zoom in to read it

I'm in Ireland and they've cut my access, so it's definitely not a UK-only thing

I'm selling my 998cc auto. I've had the car for about 8 years. Shortly after I got it it had a lot of welding to replace rusted panels. It also had a new rear subframe fitted by Somerford at the time. I then drove it regularly until last year when I parked it up to work on converting it to fuel injection using a Megasquirt. The car is currently not running. Most of the conversion work has been done, except the plumbing of the fuel system. The shell is solid. Paintwork is bad though. It got painted in a rush and the paint is thin all over and has microblistered or rubbed through in places. It has Mini Picadilly seats, custom doorcards and dashboard. There's an Acewell digidash which is fully wired in. There's also an AEM wideband O2 sensor and gauge. The interior has been soundproofed with a kit from NoiseKiller. I've fitted a Megasquirt 2.2 with V2 daughterboard, EDIS ignition and single point injection using a Pico injector and a manifold adapter. The car was running using the MEgasquirt to control the EDIS for quite a while before I fitted the injection parts. There's an Alloy Racing Fabrications sumped and bafled alloy tank with an in-tank injection pump in the boot, a Webcon pressure regulator and pressure gauge in the engine bay. This would make a good solid base for someone to use as a project, possibly well suited to an engine conversion. COVID has resulted in my having to leave the UK and move back to Ireland and I can't take the car with me, so it is up for sale. I'm looking for £1200. It will have to be collected and trailered away. The car is in Sheffield (S8). Pictures below. Be aware the paint looks much better in the photos than in real life.

Great looking show, some nice quality cars there, keep us posted. My favourite so far has to be this mini. A combination of smoothed bonnet and those arches really seems to make the most of its shape. There's a full build thread for it on The Mini Forum.

I've always liked these. Would look great with a proper off road set up Dirt Everyday did an episode with one quite recently. It's called "$3k in 3 Days to go Four-Wheeling" and is on Motor Trend on Demand. Seemed to cope quite well with what they put it through.

I got a replacement standard style valve from Minispares with my last order. You may already be aware, but there are lots of reports of this type of heater valve bursting under pressure. I think Minispares ones are meant to be OK, but keep an eye on it just in case.
