I'm selling my 998cc auto. I've had the car for about 8 years. Shortly after I got it it had a lot of welding to replace rusted panels. It also had a new rear subframe fitted by Somerford at the time. I then drove it regularly until last year when I parked it up to work on converting it to fuel injection using a Megasquirt.
The car is currently not running. Most of the conversion work has been done, except the plumbing of the fuel system.
The shell is solid. Paintwork is bad though. It got painted in a rush and the paint is thin all over and has microblistered or rubbed through in places.
It has Mini Picadilly seats, custom doorcards and dashboard. There's an Acewell digidash which is fully wired in. There's also an AEM wideband O2 sensor and gauge. The interior has been soundproofed with a kit from NoiseKiller.
I've fitted a Megasquirt 2.2 with V2 daughterboard, EDIS ignition and single point injection using a Pico injector and a manifold adapter. The car was running using the MEgasquirt to control the EDIS for quite a while before I fitted the injection parts.
There's an Alloy Racing Fabrications sumped and bafled alloy tank with an in-tank injection pump in the boot, a Webcon pressure regulator and pressure gauge in the engine bay.
This would make a good solid base for someone to use as a project, possibly well suited to an engine conversion.
COVID has resulted in my having to leave the UK and move back to Ireland and I can't take the car with me, so it is up for sale. I'm looking for £1200. It will have to be collected and trailered away.
The car is in Sheffield (S8).
Pictures below. Be aware the paint looks much better in the photos than in real life.
