If you don't mind, it looks like we have a lot to learn from your coach painting experience Good idea on roller painting though Morns, I'd never given it any real consideration. My mate could do with painting his beetle so I'll get him to look up roller Rustoleuming

Looking good nice idea with the rivets too. Can I ask how long it has taken you to this point? Re: electrification, it can be done no problem with the peizo pickup. It's only looking for vibrations so having some holes in doesn't really matter Playing around with placement of the pickup will alter the tone, but a good place to start is around where the neck and body meet. I'd stick it just inside the box on the bottom of the plank. Moving it nearer the bridge should result in a more trebley tone. I'm not sure of the best way to stick it, but obviously a good contact is required to transmit the vibrations.

Ah, so you have a history of fitting monster engines into unsuitable cars? Truly astounding the lengths you are going to in getting that engine to fit. Good luck!

My mate won one on ebay for cheap the other week, Ferrari 360 at Silverstone. He said it was awesome and the instructor was encouraging him to go faster! Seems a bit hit and miss though, I've also heard people being to to slow down.

Very sorry to hear this, I've posted on the 'Stolen Oldschool Fords' Facbook group for what it's worth. I hope it is recovered intact.

As mentioned above, neck-thu construction could solve the problem of the neck joint. Since you seem a wood-y person, I found one with lots of wood If you're using steel strings, look into truss rods. They're a threaded steel bar in the neck to counter the tension of the strings. Nylon string guitar don't need them, there's not a lot of tension in nylon strings. Either could be easily electrified using a cheap piezo pick up.
