Updated main page and re added here too as I was asked if it had Electronic Ignition, well it has an Electronic Distributor no less So the good bits are... 5.7 litre Chevy v8 Electronic Distributor Th350 gearbox, (comprising of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and overdrive so nice n relaxed on the motorway.) Double wishbone front with coilovers Capri 280 discs Austin Princess 4 pots Jag IRS Rear MOT exempt, it was owned by my mechanic friend prior to me, so its all good. Tax exempt Had a rather nice roof chop. All the lights work Indicator stalk actually flashes with the indicators. (V cool) Windscreen winds out. Some very nice Centreline rims on it. Bad bits... Rear visibility is terrible, its a hot rod after all. Runs a 35 litre fuel cell so no gauge.

I feel let down. When I saw the headline 1948 Ford I automatically thought of an American '48 sedan. That Pop looks okay though if that is what one is into. Good to know that the boy is learning young. Sorry I must have deleted the number 8 when I retyped the heading, wasn't on purpose. Hopefully the new heading will be to your liking. The JackeriaYeah that was one of the pics I was on about not doing it justice without it's front spoiler. Still 98% awesome though

Had an interesting chat with the other half earlier. She actually stated she wished we could keep this but I had to remind her that our son is rapidly out growing his seat. (WTF I'm being the sensible one) Then on Facebook I happened along a vehicle that embodies a couple of my favourite things. Namely F1, rat rods, superchargers, huge wheels and high revving four cylinders. I don't know who came up with this but I'd love to know how their mind works. There are a few pics kicking around of it minus its splitter, I don't feel those do it justice. So have some inspiration where you could take my car.. What do you guys think

WHY CHANGE THE LADS MIND??? Stick with the Capri and sell all the 4Motion drive gear for the front of the car, With the funds buy the front end 4motion transmission from a B5 vr5 or Audi A4 Quarto and this will get you your correct engine layout, You can buy adaptor plates from VAG to fit the VR6 onto many other inline transmission. cut out the entire rear floor of the golf and invite that into the rear of the Capri fit a role cage for extra strength. Not an easy project by a long shot but far far more interesting than another FWD..... This and lots more of it, absolutely awesome idea...

After meeting the chairman of the Ford Pop club at Queens square the other month, he informed me that the Ford 8 was only made for a 2yr period.
1938 & 1939 So I think the DVLA got the date wrong at the point this was registered in the UK as it states '48.
Anyway it's still a rare beast as there are a lot of Pops out there. Body is all steel apart from the fibreglass rear arches.
Wipers work on a worm gear as opposed to a vacuum setup.
My Magnum is inline for an engine swap which this is going to fund, so I can't take any swaps I'm afraid.

Right up for sale as my Engine swap is looming ever closer, plus my lad is outgrowing the space we had him stuck in the back of this thing.
