Basically, I'm sure this may have been asked in some way shape or form before but..... I'm looking for some more info, wondered if anyone can help.
Basically there are a few small holes in the centre box of my exhaust, nothing major but would like them fixed up. I had some gum repair putty so put some of that on, now as it's on the silencer I was wondering if theres anything I can put over that to create a more solid seal, to hold the gum better? I was thinking something like the metalish sheets they use in the kits for the exhaust pipes but bigger or/and for something to cover it. Is there any such product as tape for the exhaust?
thank you in advance!! ;D

In a word....MINT! Love Saabs and love the look of the saloons! Agree you should get good money for that, if your looking to sell you should put it on a for sale thread and/or maybe a specialist forum! If i had the money i'd be having a look but unfortunatly I'm broke unless your looking for a very very low amount.....and even then id be telling you its worth significantly more!

Thanks for the input guys much appreciated, might look at tidying it up a bit whilst I run it for now, thinking I might see what to do when it's MOT time as ironic as this sounds its acutally saving myself money at the moment with mpg and ins cost (really low ins group) But handy to know a rough estimate, cheers all!

Thanks for the input, appreciated!
Just after a rough idea really because opinions vary, certainly the price guide I found was alot higher but again thats on a perfect example.
No service history really but generally looked after i'd have said, certainlty previous owner and myself theres signs of general care (topping up oil, last owner seems to have done the filters from the date's ect) but again I know what you mean to an outsider, can look like a gamble!
Leaks are just the exhaust hole and a little oil drip (to my knowledge) so not huge by any means and the oil seems to have slowed down now but am wondering weather or not to repair some of the little bits or just (when I do) put it up as it is?
Hmmm desicions.....thanks once again!

Hello fellow formites!
Just testing the water to see how much i'd get for my motor vehicle! It's not as interesting as other testing the water threads to be honest but here goes.....
Pug 306 non turbo diesel 93/94 ish reg.
Apprx 150,000 miles but still runs well and getting around 40-60 mpg (don't think this is the one that runs on veg oil just to note).
Has roughly 3-4 months Mot and Tax.
4 Very good tyres, Spare ideally needed.
Not alot of service history apart from recent mots which give clues as to whats been done.
Has a few dents/scuffs in the rear side which have been prepped for repair and or temp fixed (around an average packet of crisps in length x2...) I hope to fix these myself before I do eventually sell. Happened on my garage wall (don't ask) but nothing that can't be fixed! This also means a repaired rear cluster due to the above! Also has a crack in the front of the bumper a few inches in legnth. Slight fade on front wing. Very little rust at all.
Hole in the centre exhaust, one which has been repaired the other in need of a repair pretty soon.
Holds water and oil well but would need a service sometime soon, tiny drips occasionally from the oil sump, but doesn't seem to lose any (if that makes sense).
Cambelt I was told was replaced at 100k but can't fully confirm so unsure!
Slight smoke on start up in cold weather and occasionally takes a few turns but has never let me down, totally fine in the summer tho!
Interior in VGC considering but the boot although clean has what appears to be a bit of paint on the inside mat. Also boot does not work from the outside, only the inside but a cheapish fix from what I can see, never bothered me as I never use it!
Central locking, two keys but the barrel has been changed years before my ownership (speaking of which has only had a handful of owners)
May need a few things in the near future I.e service items plus ect.
Possibly a few other bits i've not included and as I say this is just to gain an idea roughly. To be honest it's still a strong car in my eyes all things considered for a nearly 20 year old diesel but with a bit of work upcoming i'd imagine!
Idea's chaps?

306 which is nearly 20 years old and hardly a patch of rust on it, very impressive indeed!

Cheap as chips for a desirable retro that is! 24p and garden gnome for your collection any use?....but seriously all the best with the sale, that seems very fairly priced and I doubt that'll be there long!

I think 700 is a fair price for an Audi Estate with a fairly long MOT in good nick. Its horrible when you pay over the odds for something, had a car a few years back that I payed nearly 2g's for and sold it for just under 1 High fuel and insurance prices didn't help due to it being a 20mpgish turbo so it was hard to sell! I woulda thought yours would find a buyer, especially for around 700, hang in there! You could put it on here for sale (if you check the tnc's on the for sale thread) or try relevent specialist forums, i.e older cars, audis ect?

I quickly glanced at the first picture and thought geez lucky you didn't have a passenger....then realised it was on your drivers side! (durrrr)
You are very very lucky there matey, had a wake up call myself the other day (non driving related) and really makes you think! New respect for life and all that!!

Welll I'm not overly well up on this type of car but i'd say it would be worth appx (depending on the person obv) around 800 quids? not 100% as I say as I'm not well up on it but I could see you getting roughly that...maybe a few hundreds more if you hang in there...being a tdi with a fairly long mot!
