If the Astra is a 6 Speed the gearboxes do good money on Ebay £500, better than £200 thats for sure, so you could break it too Turbo, Injectors, Alternator, Starter if all good will see for good money too, and thats before you start on everything else! (Doors, Tailgate, Bonnet, Wings, Wheels & Tyres, Wiper Motors, Lights and all the mechanical bits!)

Tidy car.
I believe you still have to post a price just to let people know, how high low to offer!

Get these on Ebay, you should be able to get more than £80 a piece for them. I would hazard a guess they the dealership might have had a low wall around it with these on top, like a wrought iron fence.
Put them on for £500 the 3 or best offer and see what happens, your first 20 listings are free after all! Got to be worth a try

Another easy way is to create a gumtree add as you can upload the pics straight to gumtree and then post the link here

I read and understood it the first time. I was responding to the latter part of your sentence.

If you have a Vivaro then either list as complete on EBay or break it yourself, they are very good breakers. Nowhere to store it so the owner had to get rid of it that afternoon otherwise I would had kept it and got a cheap engine to put in. I wouldn't advise the engine route, there are quite a few variations and some are rarer than others. There is a Renault Specialist that sells refurb engines that have a good rep but they come at a price. In this instance your better off just listing the whole van on Ebay as Spares or Repairs as there are a lot of people out there looking for them!

Today at a 'recycling facility' that normally pays more than your normal scrapyard a Ford KA £25. Vauxhall Vivaro £37 if you took if to them. If you have a Vivaro then either list as complete on EBay or break it yourself, they are very good breakers.

I hope everyone is thinking how to maximise the cash you get back on weighing in, it was quite often i pointed out to friends/customers how to get more cash.
I once saw someone weighing in a Celica with GT4 Bumpers, Bonnet and Rear Wing, it was quite obvious these bits were worth money but the lad didn't think about it, and once i pointed it out to him he made a lot more cash out of the car before scrapping it.
You should be thinking about swapping wheels, if the car has decent alloys and tyres, even if it has just decent tyres, maybe thinking about swapping steels around.
Remove small parts like lights, door mirrors, front / rear wiper motors and anything else you can make quick cash on as these bits will not alter the weight of the vehicle by much.
Do a bit of research, find out which parts go wrong commonly on the car your weighing in and remove them for EBay, e.g on some vehicles ABS pumps, Turbos, ECU's etc can sell for good money.
Be wise before you scrap!

Turkey not buying due to war in Syria and China not buying has forced a major slump in prices, or at least this is what i hear lads at work telling customers on the phone all the time.
Luckily i focused on selling parts online so it didn't effect me so much.

Saw that the other day, good try but needs more genuine rust/patina on the panels and it will work better. It's a transit, give it another week! Regardless of my opinion, its making good money now anyway

Unfortunately as you say the wheels outlasted the car which was a total wreck when it came into the yard.

I looked into it a bit lastnight and found a set that sold recently for £300, i asked around a bit more a gent said £150-250 if you find the right buyer, so i'll just leave them on free listing on the bay and see what happens.

This was a really difficult choice to narrow it down to 10 cars, but i have chosen the 10 i can think of for the time being, of course i would add to it if money was no object. Daily Driver - E39 M5 Fancy Daily - F430 Scuderia Retro Daily - Cavalier Calibre Daily Utily and Junk Hauler - 2017 Ford Raptor Everyone needs a Rally Car - Audi Quattro And of course an F1 Car - John Player Special The Rare Collectible - BMW 3.0 CSL Art Car My parents had one of these before i was born - E-Type Jaguar Race Truck - Ecurie Ecosse Commer TS3 I couldn't think of number 10, so i went for the parts hauler - Transit Custom Sport
