so its not turbocharged any more?
if so it wont be over 200 on standard cams! many camshaft manufacturers will regrind road cams to a stage 1 or if possible stage 2 kind of profile.

Hi Mike, do you do thing kind of thing for a living or used to?
my girlfriend is considering something larger to live in (she is kinda squatting in a caravan at the moment, also has a boat she has lived in) and has been looking at larger ambulances on the net, mostly as they have a lot of electrical stuff in already and are insulated, what were not sure of is would it be enough, or be a can of worms! not yet been to see one, may end up getting a large panel van and starting from scratch!

head skim makes no difference to torque settings, crack on as per haynes or the settings in the head bolt packaging.

cambridge to ashford, 2 hours each way, 100 miles, 2-3 gallons each way. rough guess at £35 of fuel tops unless you have something especially thirsty.
I'd just go and get it or send a mate for it tbh.

Rover K would be the logical route given the heritage and parts you already have, as mentioned they are a good engine once its inherent flaws are addressed.

they look bmw to me, you need to measure them up.
there's loads of online catalogues and most can be searched on by certain parameters like diameter, thickness, height etc.

Bosch or Weber in an inline holder, I would never use anything adjustable, there really is no need to use an adjustable item, they are a pain in the , even the 'reputable' ones.

they aren't coded, its just an on/off solenoid.
did you compare new to old injectors to confirm they were identical?
done a compression test? which TU engine is it?

Even if it was a free car unless its a total basket case then anything you spend on the brakes is worthwhile.

even redoing the whole lot wont cost you much in parts, itll take a roll and a bit to do a two line diagonal split car such as a base model or a 1.9, so thats anout £24, rear hoses are dirt cheap, less than £20 also, and a tenner of brake fluid.

17" looks perfect on an E34 tbh, the elaatic band look does not suit the era of the vehicle.
that said I'm rolling on the original 15x7 style 5's not my 17's 😄

its more a proper burn up you need to do than a long motorway cruise, they are quite efficient things thermally so high speed cruising doesnt heat them up.
as they are a fair way over the limits I would check the live data on diagnostic tool and compare against expected values
