Due to continuing projects I cannot do what I wanted to do to this , alas , it is offered for sale. 1986 Volvo 340 1.4 4 speed manual with genuine mileage of 35,000 miles! MOT till Feb 2016 It is painfully the cleanest one I have seen for along time, was an impulse buy but seriously I need to focus on other projects that are plain and simply more of my flavour. Its pretty much as its left the factory (bar the radio-still have the original one to put in place!) even on its dealer plates still. I have put on at least 1,000 miles easy on it with no trouble! but I'm finding it hard to not rack the miles up, hence the sale. Mechanicals: all checked over I have done the usual service a few months ago when I got it, including new plugs, filter, oil leads, replaced the fuel lines which was definitely needed so they are all safe! also done a new waterpump and put in a winter thermostat as well flushed the coolant etc etc seriously no issues at all it perky lively and surprisingly well paced for what it is. Gearbox brakes: all working fine no untoward noises and brakes are pin sharp. Suspension: this was where I had plans but as expected nothing blossomed,. still on stock suspension as Volvo intended. Bodywork: This is where for me the car shines. I mean the paint is a lovely solid red no fading or anything like that, and best bit of all it was garaged for most of its life and subsequently it doesn't have any of the dreaded thing red cars typically have of pink panels. It is all RED also this shell has to be the best 3 door out there in my humble opinion?! No rust at all not needing any repairs nor has it had any welding repairs! Definitely a testament to the Swedish build quality here. It does has the odd ding here and there and unfortunately before I owned it, it was keyed by a jealous animal on the passenger 1/4 panel, I will get pictures of this and it is a pain but repairable. its a shame but this was how I bought it but had plans to repaint the panel but it isn't too bad. Wheels: Rolling on stock steels with hubcaps and 4 brand new champion tyres! This seriously has a LOT of potential and I am gutted but needs must. I want it to go to a good home, and I feel the price is to me and what I have seen taking into account the mileage history and the fact its a RWD 80's retro hatchback that has a load of scope for a making it an even betterer car ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) I feel the price is fair. I am possibly open to offers once viewed. Price: £1200 ovno NO SWAPS Location: Bexleyheath Da6 - viewings most evenings and weekends. contact:Pm me through here or call me (preferably!) on 07969696746 I will be getting more pictures of this this week I am mega busy t the start of this week. Here is one for your troubles a teaser shall we say?! ![](http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg228/photorobo/6EEA3A46-29E1-4D25-921D-981FB1024159_zpsksltmhqy.jpg) ![](http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg228/photorobo/C001FE42-B615-442C-98A7-02D4DC4C4577_zpshgqqlkot.jpg)

So after a road worthy/legal chevette ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) in no rush and will probably change my mind but always wanted one Thank you

On my last e36 wagon i used a cheap brand (think pagid) for pads and discs and they squealed like mad and i bedded them in properly. Next time i will use national or trw as they seem to be a good mid end brand that i have never had issues with tbh!

Dunno John .. Least you know its a good one! Only one way to find out... Youve done some great work on her Gav! All I ever did was whap some altitude out of it and stick the Lotus steelies on it that had gone by the time you got it. I think I have too many cars on the go as it is but I'm tempted if Danny doesnt buy it. Cheers fella yeah done a lot even though it may not look like it! Yeah the hippy said it was scrap fodder.. And about 6 years later still here in the flesh. Well ive not advertised it and no ones made a tempting offer so who know maybe another 6 years in my ownership.. And maybe 4 more cylinders.. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

That car is mint Gavin well bought fella, seen it parked in mount road for a few years and thought what a clean car it was Cheers! one of the cleanest cars I have owned for a while! I knew the kid who previously owned it and he bought it of the original owner- I have full history etc! He ended up knocking on my door at the right time, and he didn't want it to be ruined or 'drifted'. Not lying I used to laugh at it with the silly wheels height and backbox he done.. and look what happened lol!!
