Good celebrity spot with Zoe Ball there @quatermass I have now finally read through this entire thread (well, I say read, I may have skimmed over parts and looked at pictures more than read stories) Only bit of advice I would give as to when you do the valve clearances, is take the spark plugs out to make the engine easier to rotate How easy is the roof panel to take out? could always remove it for fresh air in the current heat wave mk2cossie, I would suggest rather reading the text and skimming the pictures - the commentary is really amusing, for us fellow bodgers anyway.

You guys were lucky as kids - we only had pocket billiards here in the colonies.

BTW those infinity speakers are good speakers - 6X9s. Mount them in the back somewhere - 4 or 6 inch round speakers will do in the footwell.

How about spraying the vinyl with your satin black rattle cans to achieve the same texture? Hey Captain, I only just realised what you are suggesting here.... You said spray the vinyl. I read it as spray the bare metal, which I am considering.... But, will rattle-can car paint stick to vinyl do you know/think? I've always assumed it wouldn't take paint. I think that paint will stick to the vinyl better than ali - MNSHO

Mask it and paint the bolts at the same time - Wish it would rain here sometimes. Not quite as much as in the UK though.
