Shes back on the road ;D
Havnt ridden it for the last 2 weeks due to that carb problem. and the fact ive been working now so unable to get home and play with it... But i had an easy afternoon at work and when i got home I just ripped the carb of the magnum and fitted the new jet to that. Then used the magnums airfilter and its riding again now without a waterfall of fuel.. (fuelfall)
Yet to see what these spoke covers are like in a crosswind haha

Keep the updates coming on yours..Do you think if enough follow they will give us our own page?? ;D haha wicked, Yeah ive got some more plans for mine, Hopefully gonna crack on with it friday night/ over the weekend as its otherwise just sat down the shed atm while i work Need to replace the carb for the 3rd time though as the 17mm that works is now leaking like a sieve. So I'm going to order a replica carb instead of trying to make the real one work. As for our own page... I doubt it haha

Well i didnt get round to any work on it. Didnt have the time and had something else to do.
But took it for a quick blast tonight and its still scary ;D
Carb has been leaking though, Drippin on the head while its parked up. So I'm assuming the fuel tap is buggered too to be allowing fuel down.
Gonna get some paint and paint the spoke cover this week, order a carb and some jets, and figure a way of loading it into the back of the caddy to take it down the new forest or anywhere else for that matter without laying it on its side. ;D All soon hopefully so i can start enjoying it this summer ( as was planned)

Try banging the float chamber (bottom of the carb) with the handle of a screwdriver, the floats sound like they're stuck. The tap wouldnt be the problem, once the carb fills with fuel the floats rise and close the valve - no more fuel comes in. You might need to take the carb off and take off the float bowl to see if they're stuck, bu try tapping it first

tried all that dude, Its also not the flot bowl its leaking from, Its the banjo fitting on the side. Not realy a problem in day to day running as its just a very small weep. But when its parked in the shed all week while I'm at work, And the tap isnt stopping the fuel flow it just slowly drips out...
Gonna get a new carb to solve the seeping banjo problem, And strange lack of idle after the run off... Gonna order a new fuel tap too..

Had a little fiddle with a spare clutch bell today. Rain was soo bad I couldnt do anything id planned so, Decided id try somthing different with the clutch. So many people just toy with the shoes or springs on these. But from my expeierience of trying lots of different settings is, That allthough you can change what point the clutch bites, You cant effect the way it grips to any extent with the known tuning methods. So I decided to try and keep the clutch a little dryer. Basically. I wanted to be able to still be able to keep the clutch wet for cooling and prolong its life. But I wanted to give the oil in the clutch somewhere to go rather than making the shoes aquaplane over the allready slick surface of the clutch bell. So I thought, How about making some grooves like a tyre has so the oil can escape once compressed but still be there to keep it all cool. I also opened out the oil ways in the back of the bell to increase the flow in and out. So its not allways bathing in the same hot worn out oil. Hard to see any decent changes i grant ya.... But itll hopefully get tried at some point this week. Along with pulling the rear wheel off and sorting that speedway disc out too... Also had the thing running today, Second kick isnt bad considering it just sits in the shed all the time due to the rain and work commitments...

Hopefully them grooves should work and it'll grab better. Grooving the 2nd gear on the Tomos worked, before grooving it used to slip badly when shifting, if you didn't let of the throttle.

Yeah it was your tomos clutch that got me thinking of it. But i didnt want to chop the shoes like you did as the puch ones are a bit curse word in comparison. So decided to try the same sorta idea on the bell instead. ;D

Well shes still going well. Went out riding it yesterday. And was going to tonight but I'm knackered and semi drunk after all the cooling fosters ive been drinking on this loverly day ;D... BUUUUTTTT... She may be for sale / px
I'm not getting the use out of it id like to. This is solely down to where the bike is kept. I keep it in a shed at the end of the garden , Its parked behind my pushbike and theres two locked gates and, a bug in the carport and the locked carport doors, and the mums car and the sisters car parked in the drive that are so close I have to move one of them to get the ped out Its all just a huge faff to get it out and ride it... It should be an enjoyable expirence, And it is when its out on the road. But the work up of getting it in and out puts a downer on it. Soooo, That said, I'm looking to POSSIBLY replace it with something less cool that I can park near the front door.. Ive been looking at yamaha townmates, Or honda CH125'S If anyones got one they want to sell/PX with my puch (money my way) then id be interested. I value it at around £700 , But for selling sake £500 considering the work and money thats gone into it. And the nearly a year of T+t on it. If it goes it Will come with a spare set of wheels, And two spare engines and lots of other odds and sods.
