Ive been looking for something to fart about with and this came up on ebay last night for the right money(cheap!) so I bought it blind! 34000 miles one owner and been stored for a long time. Picking it up saturday so it will be fun to see exactly what Ive got myself into ;D Not sure which way to go with it yet, depends on how good/bad it really is. Found a couple of pics of moddied ones but there dosent seem to be many out there. I might do it in the same style as my old Volvo 460 as the profile is very simular to the Nova.

Its now at home and in need of 10 years of grim to be washed off to see whats underneath. After a few buckets of water and shes come up really well. Only rot is on near side rear wheel arch at the sill end. Front and rear panels under the bumpers are mint. Underneath the floor panels, inner and outer sills are also mint. Started to recommision the engine, plugs out and poured a bit of oil in the bores.Spanner on crank and it turns smoothly. Will be putting a new cam belt on before I start it up. Lots more to do before she hits the road again but I feel she is well worth the effort. Found this in the boot amongst other spare parts, made me grin ;D More to follow.........................

hm . . . from your first post, I expected a 4-door . . Didnt know what I had in the first post Been out in the garage this morning to get it ready for the new cam belt but couldnt resist sticking a battery on and spinning it over with the plugs out and resting on the cam cover. Spins over fine, oil light goes out and the plugs are sparking ;D At this point I go against my better judgement and decide to see if it will fire up on easystart sprayed into the carb. Plugs back in and a quick spray and she wants to go....time to rig up an auxiliary fuel supply ! Choke out and away we go...runs a treat even after 10 years locked away. Thought I would check to see if the clutch was stuck while it was running, clutch down and it slips into gear without a problem...chuffed with that So while I'm waiting for the belt and engine service parts to arrive Ive got loads to do...wheels off and lets have a look at the brakes to start with.

Quick update so far.... Removed the front brake calipers and freed up the pads which are like new, replaced the front rubber brake lines. Removed rear brake drums and removed slave cylinders which had seized solid so have been replaced with new items. Replaced all rubber fuel lines as they started to weep fuel. Replaced the cam belt today and will be bleeding up the brakes tomorrow. Got to weld a small plate at the end of the near side cill and paint it up to match,if the weather stays warm it will be done this week coming. Not long before its ready for an MOT ;D I like the look of this one....
