Model: Nissan Pao Year: 1989 Mileage: 188,000 Tax: 26/08/2011 MOT: 25/11/2011 Location: South East London Price: 900 Additional Information: The carburettor has had it and we don't have the time to get it sorted out . We really love the car and are reluctant to take it to pieces and sell it bit by bit. All body panels and glass are in good order (We even have a spare quarter light still boxed) The interior is bog standard Pike factory spec, down to the distress flair under the passenger seat. It will need time and a little money spending on it - hence the price. Has been a great little car - please don't let it die.

So even if the engine is dead.... It just needs the MA10S engine from a micra and its good to go?
Anyone know what the towing weight of the Pao is? Wondering if it would legally tow my boat... Maybe with a lil engine increase...

Second time one one of these has come up on the board that I know of. Saw one in London while with the ex and even she said they were cool. Wish I had the money for it. Good luck with the sale

So even if the engine is dead.... It just needs the MA10S engine from a micra and its good to go? Just what I was thinking, running healthy this would surely be worth 2k due to the rarity of them. Love these little things, just no spare money to be buying it unfortunately. Best of luck with the sale. ;D

If this does have the ma10s engine from a k10 micra, then I have a spare carb in full working order from a 90k engine. £20 plus postage.

Will it start and drive far enough to a near-lying layby where Mr. AA man can take me home from?

You could probably nurse it to a layby . . . if it wasn't too far away! It was running ok but just rather bumpy till about two weeks ago so I took it to the garage. Mechanic couldn't fine replacement carb, so dismantled it . . . since it's been reassembled it's much worse!
