got the wheel bolts for the pepperpots at long last 2 short emailed the guy see if the other 2 were sent seperatly how legal is it to have wide wheels on the front and thinner ones on the rear i.e. pepperpots on the front and standard steels on the rear (at a distance and in motion they should look simular as the colour scheme is the same) or how safe is it to have 3 bolts on each of the rear wheels (although id rather not risk that) img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/samyboy/Fiesta/newwheels.jpgcritisisams and advice welcome, thanks

you really want 4 bolts mate in each wheel and as long as the same size of tyre and same offset of wheel is on the same axel its ok

ok thanks for that ill play it safe and keep skinny wheels on the back untill ive got 2 extra bolts
keeping the steels on the back also saves 4kg ;D

just get bolts, scrapyard a go-go! i've got feckin hundreds of fezza pepperpot bolts, one trip round the scrappy, 1 x xr2 bodykit, 4 x pepperpots, 64 x bolts, and some gauges of course, a scrappy visit wouldn't be the same without nickin some gauges.

yeah just go to scrappy? 3 should be ok, just torque them to the setting in your haynes manual, theres no power going thru them so cant see any problem running it until you get some more. you will find some at breakers or buy a locking set? good idea if you plan on expensive tyres...

She'll possess you. Then destroy you. She's death on wheels. She's... I'm seeing them over the summer and i finally got all 4 wheels on was driving fine with chunky wheels on the front and skinny ones on the back, back end came slightly loose at one point anyway i found a guy at classic ford with a box full £1 each or £10 a set (how gutted was i, payed £25 for a set and was 2 short ) anyway grip is just amazing i drove to college at 60ish down one back road they absorb bumps better than the suspension really struggles to 70 but who needs those speeds 2 questions, 2/3mm spacing on the rear, should i? i ripped the rear mud flaps off, should the fronts go too ? oh and another........cutting springs? shall i mutilate the springs on the spare shell and put them on this or invest in some XR shocks first?

Loose the mudflaps, and get some Gmax or secondhand, lowered and uprated (SPAX etc) matched springs and shocks... It's looking much better on those rims, shame you had such a shocker though

not yet I'm chuffed to bits with my engine... i got a 19.9 down the pod back in january with terrible grip i watched a 1.3 only manage a 22.9 yesterday and saw a mk2 xr2 in the high 18's HAAA HAAA oneday ill get round to fitting the webber carburetta then a good service its a weapon for its age and what it is, if i can improve on the handaling ill be happy with that I'm not bothered about speed as long as i can maintain speed around the corners as it takes forever to build it up again oooh must get a rear strut brace welded in

Can't beat a nice set fo pepperpots. Get your tyres blacked to make the rims stand out more too. Mk1 fez FTW!

be carefull with rear spacers, as fez rear axles are on a panhard rod type link, so they actually move sideways over bumps! when you lower it, don't be alarmed if it shifts more to one side! (you can get ajustable ones to counteract this) otherwise, i think id get rid of the red mudflaps... am a bit confused by that exhaust angle too... thought all fez's came straight out the back! maybe I'm just thinking xr2's tho.. new front gas shocks aint too expensive, and you should find some springs easy enough is it a 950 or a 1.1?

Lose the mudflaps and get a set of cheap gas shocks and springs (possibly 2nd hand). Looks ace on the pepperpots.

I think Slater has some Fiesta lowering springs etc. If he's still got them, buy 'em before I get too tempted.... Mine looks like a 4x4 after his! ;D
