I have an original capri radio that prob for sale to off put the crim. only hanged onto it incase i sling it in the 3dr sierra! it is out of a mk2 Capri.
Best not to cut the dash if you can avoid it, should be one pre cut cheap on ebay or at ford breakers, i collected 2 and sold two uncut, went for good £.

Hi dave, was that you on the capri forum? One guy was looking to swap but mines is the wrong colour, i have had another guy email me at the moment who is going to send me some pics on Thursday evening so hopefully he will have what i am after If its not then il just keep looking on the bay, I'm not in a major rush but i have so many cool cd's to listen to Il have a look at your pictures when I'm at home, work computers here don't let me view most pictures As i say i definately wont be cutting my own original dash, ive seen sense

I guess you've gathered by now you shouldn't cut your dash. In both my Mk2 and 3 Capris I've mounted the head unit in the glove box, in a MDF box screwed down. But I did use a remote control CD head unit 'cos when you're strapped into a 28 injector at warp speed (erm, as warp as it gets... ) you don't need to be bending forward... If you need any help with wiring give us a shout, it's straightforward enough, the original stereo should put off thieving scum too, given how easy it is to bust into an old capri with little more than a butter knife...
