One of my favourites here for Retro Rides Supercar Week - the De Tomaso Mangusta. My favourite thing about it: Mangusta is Italian for 'mongoose' - and mongooses eat cobras for breakfast. That's the throwing down of a gauntlet right there.
Based on the Vallelunga chassis and powered by sizeable Ford V8s (in 289ci or 302ci flavours), their most distinguishing feature is their butterfly rear doors over the engine bay.
