Due to finally having my car back, I thought I would take a wee vid You'll have to excuse the Dutch plate, I didn't want to use my own NZ plates in the vid and I have some Dutch ones kicking around so it was easier than getting a bit of cardboard. media.putfile.com/1973-Nissan-Skyline-KHGC110

Sounds impressively racy, but how does a bloke in NZ have an early 80's Dutch plate kicking around? Just curious!

That'll be because I'm of Dutch heritage and when some randomly popped up on a local auction site I thought... I'll have those!

Perhaps descendants was more the word I was after being that, as far as I'm aware I've not in line for any particular title! ;D
My father came over to NZ from NL when he was 8 with his family and my mother was born in NZ to Dutch parents.
Unfortunately, they never thought to teach me any Dutch as I was growing up (strange really), that would have been quite handy because at some stage I do which to go over and see the relatives.
I have the Dutch Lion tattoo'd on my left uhh.. "pec" ahaha, which when my uncle found out, was amusing because he said "why'd you get that, this is what you want" and he has an NZ Fern tattoo'd in the same place.

It's never to late to learn some Dutch, easiest language in the world! But that might just be because I'm Dutch... nice tattoo, guess you'll be rooting for the Orange team then in the World Cup!

Sounds nice! My C210's don't really make a noise like that, but the C32 with it's late-type L24E is quite free-revving and with a crappy exhaust makes quite a nice noise. Before it dies I was thinking about doing the same.
Oh, and congrat's on getting the car back! Is the work good?

spottedlaurel; The noise changed a little after I had to replace the factory muffler when it was running badly and backfired a hole into it ;D it's now running a stainless 2ΒΌ" straight through on the back. It was actually the cheapest rear muffler I could find at the time. Other than the rear muffler it's running a completely stock setup including the exh. manifold. Only non stock item that may have affected it slightly is the Twin SU's instead of the Single 2BBL Hitachi, however, the sound didn't change much when that changed.
michiel; I probably will look into it or at least get thrown into it when I finally make my way there! and yes.. every world cup, always orange! ;D When I played soccer growing up I even bought Marco van Basten boots.
