wey hey!
we have two SS1's.
they look ugly, but weigh about 800kg, and handle AMAZINGLY.
they are a steel back bone type chassis (galvenised from 87(?) onwards, at this point they also went over to a single wiper arm, they then have a fibreglass tub, with a mixture of fibreglass and plastic panels onto a steel spaceframe.
1300cvh and 1600cvh where available to start with, then they bought out the ss1 1800ti, watched a stock one on the rollers put out 150+hp... 0-60 in sub 7seconds, not bad i didnt think? after a while they dropped the 1300, and when the sabre came out it had a 1800ti or a 1400k-series, although some 1400cvh ones are about.
the sabre is better looking, but alot heavier due to being one big moulding with built in wings etc.
there are a few mental ones out there with ALOT of power.
main problem is the looks, no-one can look past it so don't realise how much fun for your £££ you get. quite alot where made, a good few thousand atleast.
if anyone is seriously interested in them drop me a PM - got lots of info on them.
