Model: Ford Focus 2.0i 16v Ghia 5dr
Year: 1999
Mileage: 147,000
Tax: may 31st
MOT: June 3rd
Location: Sheffield
Price: £500 o.n.o
Additional Information:
I have run this focus as my daily for the past 18 months or so and it has served me well.
Its the top of the range ghia model so has the following spec, Electric windows x4, Electric heated mirrors, Air con, 6 cd changer, Steering column mounted radio controls etc.
The good bits,
It drives very well, as you would expect if you have driven a focus before. Theres plenty of power with the 130bhp 2.0 zetec engine, which returns decent mpg, (around 32-35mpg on a run, 25 round town).
I had the idle conrol valve replaced a few months ago, the cambelt was changed at 141,000 miles but i don't have the recipt for that.
Its very comfortable and looks smart in metallic black.
3 months tax and mot.
The not so good bits,
It kicks out blue smoke when first started in a morning, has done for a couple of months but hasnt got any worse. I'd say it smokes for 5 seconds or so, after that it runs cleanly.
There is only 1 key with the car which doesnt work remotely, the car can only be locked and unlocked from the passenger side door. This has been the case ever since I've owned the car and doesnt bother me, the central locking still works from the passenger door and the alarm and immobiliser arm and disarm as they should.
The aircon isnt as cold as it used to be, my just need regassing.
There are a few little dents and scratches on the bodywork as you would expect really, there is a small hole in the back bumper which is covered by a gb sticker, the worst damage on the bodywork is on the rear passenger side wheelarch but this hasnt broken the paint.
There are a few cigarette burns on the seats from a previous owner, the interior doesnt smell of smoke.
I have as honest as i can, maybe even a bit critical of the car but if theres anything ive missed or youve any questions give me a call.
