We just got back from a month long road trip around the States. Here are a few pics from along the way... Firstly, our beloved camper, 'Roger' (with my lovely lady). Stored for 6 months in Toronto, we popped in to make sure it was still OK. It was in better condition than I remember, it started right up and was ready to go. If only we could have used it for this trip... Never mind, it should arrive on UK shores tomorrow - Can't wait! Snapped outside Denny's. A bit boom-boy perhaps, but matt black, low and cool. A truck on a truck on a truck on a truck! I took so many shots like this. Hundreds of 30's to 60's tin rusting gently by the road, and all for sale for a few dollars. The cleanest w126 Benz in Texas - actually probably the world! We happened to pass a truck show on our route in Texas. Couldn't tell you which town it was in though This was furry good. Lovely attention detail in this truck

Umm... Seen in Downtown Miami. Daaamn. Outside a cafe in the Art Deco district. Just perfect. Oh, and on the last day, I had to rent a Chrysler 300, as everyone raves about them here. Very dissapointed - bland, basic and bloody noisy when you put your foot down (Although this one was only the 3.5v6 - they didn't have one available with a hemi...) All in all, a great holiday!

cool. I tried to get hold of a Chrysler 300 or Dodge Charger when we were last over there but ended up with the Cadillac SRX which was an awesomely cool machine. The V6 is going to be somewhat under powered in that thing I'd say.

Nice to see more car pic's! Saw glimpses on your blog thing, looks like you had a great time.
What a week for RR with all these photos and reports back from all over the world. Sadly I don't think my week's holiday in Kent/Sussex will be quite the same.

Sadly I don't think my week's holiday in Kent/Sussex will be quite the same. Kent/Sussex will be just lovely - at least you are getting away. And of course you will always be safe in the knowledge that you have more cool cars than most on here and more space to put them! I'll give you a bell this eve to sort out the Benz.

Fantastic pics!
Tell me more about your camper! I've always been interested by the US ones like that. What are they like on fuel?

What a week for RR with all these photos and reports back from all over the world. Sadly I don't think my week's holiday in Kent/Sussex will be quite the same. 11th June is the London - Brighton Classic car run, and 22nd/23rd July is the Sussex Classic Motor Show in Ringmer, if you're around then. There's quite a lot of stuff on at Goodwood through July and August, too. I'm loving this:

11th June is the London - Brighton Classic car run...... Hey, I'm down there from 10th-17th! Is the route posted online anywhere? Wonder if I can swing one of our visits that way? Yeah SS, give us a call tonight, but say about 9.30 as I've got errands to do beforehand. You'll like my new addition to the fleet, I parked the two 240K's close together and they've given birth to a monster...

Everything starts at Hampton Court Palace, the classics stop off at Amberley Working Museum (near Arundel) and the sports and kit cars stop off at Bentley Motor Museum (in Ringmer, my village - except I won't be there ) and then everyone parks up on Madeira Drive on Brighton seafront for the afternoon, which will definitely be the best place to get to see everything. They'll probably start arriving at about midday, and there'll be loads of autojumbles and stuff. The website isn't saying anything about the exact rute yet though, sorry.

Excellent pics, sounds like an amazing trip. I was sure my next big holiday was going to be a road trip in the US and Canada, but now pondering Japan... must stop looking on this forum! My parents are currently visiting my sister in Canada and are hiring an 'RV' to tour around and camp in, I booked it online for them and even the smallest one was huge. 5 litre V8 auto or something!
