If you read Hot Rod magazine (and if you don't then why not?) then you'll have seen this already. For the rest of y'all here is Keith Robinson's street legal sprint car rocking a nice warm V8 and almost no weight... Dunno about you, but that looks fun to me. And this is one of those rare occasions where I'm going to say "but I'd have gone for a stick shift"... Feature, here

I'm building one now, with a Capri II body cleaved down the center, with the middle 22-in removed.

The wings are still on it. We cut the middle 22" out of the shell, so that was the bonnet, roof, hatch - longitudinally! The 22" wasn't cut out transversely. I had a thread, but it got locked.
I have some new pattern and some used orig Capri II wings in inventory at Team Blitz. Coming over to job search? Swing in and toss them into the rental car! ;D

Depending on your price, I might be cheaper to fly out specially for a pair. I got a price on some from a specialist here at £375 each...
I assumed that you'd cut if off at the cowl like when they were used as stock cars back in the day, then narrowed it.

375.00 for USED ones? Or pattern ones? <clint> "You assumed wrong." <clint> (About the skinny-chop.) Single seat skinnies made from Tri-Fives or Hornets or Pintos or whatever were right down the center. This is the only Capri done like this, and the only one on a sprint car chassis. And certainly the only one with a Junkers Stuka vin tag (relic from the factory), or with F-104 Starfighter droptank wings, or twin .30 cal hood guns. But it's too boring for here. Obviously. ;D

probably the same with VAT and shipping sadly! If I can find good used ones then they are fine. Texan used ones probably way better than ones from Norwich or where ever here. Anyway I'd assumed you were building something like this Hot Rod mag again

No VAT or duty if you buy them here on a shopping spree. Still have the shipping bug-a-boo. Well there's always our 150.00 used ones, which are very solid...
