Hi guys - has anyone got any experience of Nitromors to remove paint off metal? Wheels for example?
I've got some steels which have been brush painted, and I was thinking of removing the paint with Nitromors, and starting fresh, the only problem is - the wheels still have the tyres on, and if I can get away with it, I'd like to leave the tyres on.
I've never used the stuff before - and I was wondering how aggressive it is? Obviously, I'd mask the tyres off, to prevent any splashes, but would these be likely to eat into the rubber?
May sound like a stupid question - but thanks in advance anyway!

how sound is the brush painting; if you don't need a perfect job would it not be far easier just to sand down the worst of the brush marks and spray?

Doesn't everybody bath with their shoes on? C'mon, socks at least?!
I suppose I could go round with a wire brush on my drill to get the worst off... Why didn't I think of that earlier?!
Thanks for the advice guys!

Let the tyres down, and slip some thick masking tape between the rim and the tyre, cover the tyre and wire brush the loose stuff off. Loads of Nitromors, give it a good old scrub with a brush, and repeat a few times. They'll come up pretty good, it's evil stuff, but works a treat. Try and do it outside too, as it stinks and makes a mess when you rinse it off... Done it loads of times, and I've always been happy... ;D

So it's alright to use it to strip some paint off a couple of RV8 Rocker covers then?
