I get bored sometimes living out in the country in New Zealand, and this car is really proof of just how bored I get.
Backstory: When I was first looking to buy a car, my dad suggested a Morris Marina, for the sole reason that HE wanted one, but my mother wouldnt let him ;D
A few months went by searching, and then one of my dads mates said he saw one at the wreckers, we went and looked at it, and it was rusty, missing most parts, had no plates, and generally in curse word condition.
So of course we bought it.
Then a month or two later we came across a very tidy TC coupe for a price I couldnt refuse, so that became the project instead, and this car sat in the paddock for the next 3 years.
The paddock it sat in, belonged to my neighbour, who kindly let me store it there. A couple of weeks ago the property on which it was stored was sold, and it had to be moved to our property, so I thought why not make it look a bit more acceptable to sit there.
And thats where things took off from....
The day I pulled it from the paddock:

i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo187/lips-of-deceit/curse word%20brown%20beast/Photo-0050.jpg[/IMG]
While changing wheels over, I noticed it had one saving grace:
i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo187/lips-of-deceit/curse word%20brown%20beast/Photo-0047.jpg[/IMG]
It has a telescopic front shock kit on it (only on one side unfortunately)
So we got it back to the house, and proceeded to tidy it up a bit:
Cutting and polishing:
i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo187/lips-of-deceit/curse word%20brown%20beast/Photo-0053.jpg[/IMG]
Took the rust off the boot, took off the bent bumper, put decent tail lights on, license plate, and badges:
i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo187/lips-of-deceit/curse word%20brown%20beast/IMG_1982.jpg[/IMG]
Put a spare bonnet, grille, and front lip on:

And that kept me happy, until the next weekend...
Decided to put all my spare parts into one car, and as I had a spare TC 1750 that I had removed from the TC to make way for an SR20DET, I thought Id chuck that in.
So at the start of the day:
Nice, but could do with a few improvements

So up we go onto the hoist
i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo187/lips-of-deceit/curse word%20brown%20beast/IMG_2013.jpg[/IMG]
Sanded the 'bay down, then primered
i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo187/lips-of-deceit/curse word%20brown%20beast/IMG_2020.jpg[/IMG]
Followed by a few coats of gloss black
i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo187/lips-of-deceit/curse word%20brown%20beast/IMG_2023.jpg[/IMG]
And a slightly healthier heart put in
i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo187/lips-of-deceit/curse word%20brown%20beast/IMG_2029.jpg[/IMG]
Looks right at home
i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo187/lips-of-deceit/curse word%20brown%20beast/IMG_2032.jpg[/IMG]
And closing up for the day (yes the wheels are orange, no they are not staying!
i374.photobucket.com/albums/oo187/lips-of-deceit/curse word%20brown%20beast/IMG_2034.jpg[/IMG]
Now for the bad bits...
Bit too crunchy for me

Oh and picked up a basic arc welder the other day, only thing Ive achieved so far is putting a muffler on the Marina

Plan is to learn all about body work by fixing the rust, get the car drivable, and just have some fun!
Any suggestions/abuse/comments are welcome
