Pic ,s to follow, I got wheels blasted a while back and they cost me £80 and I near cryed.So now I have an other set and Iam not spending that much again!So I googled blast cabinets, as many as I could find and there are as many home made one,s with great ideas as you could shake a sandblast gun at.So after some head scratching I gathered up some of the rubbish that has gathered in my shed over the last ten years. 1Traffic cones? 2A large liquid cude 3x3x3 [plastic] 3An old pair of jeans 4Bathroom extacter 5Air filter 63x3 foot window with double sliders[ gumtree belfast]£20 7 Apair off welding gloves [allready had them] 8 Sand blast gun[siphontype] £13 9 One roll off duct tape[sticky]£7 I,ll get the pic,s up soon ,PS its not pretty, but it works

Ok here goes,the pics are a wee bit confusing but I,ll start with the extractor,just a household item that I sealed up to stop the motor from getting clogged up and vented the motor up the tube on top of it[the main use for it is to take the fine dust away from the work area and me ,it goes down a pipe at the back not shown].Next the glass on top ,just cut hole and screw down and seal. The arms were a wee bit of a fiddle,but after some studyng ,a pair of jeans, two middle,s out of cones and a roll of duct tape "walla".Next was a hit and miss carry on, put sand into up turned cone, pluged the sand pipe on the bottom[jammed straight away] ,so next tryed sucking it from the top ,great[but had to fill every two minutes]so just put the bottom off the pipe in the cube and sucked the sand of the floor by moving the pipe about by hand ,it worked well but would need to make some way of recoving it into a bucket,the sand has done about three wheels but has got very fine with use[very slow to blast].The air intake is just an air filter set opposite the fan to try and get a cross flow.The bar,s are set so I could set the wheels up or down,but you could set a small table inIMHO if you are in a hurry this is not for you! but if you are doing bit,s and peices this would work fine and keep the mess in the place[you can make a pressurised gun theres loads off stuff if you google it]Took about a one day to cobble it together could have spent more time but didn,t know it was going to work or not!http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/did-you-own-jeep-928216/index3.html#post8781660
