Is anybody able to go over tomorrow and collect a gearbox and speedo cable from FAB Direct who are at - Broadmoor Road, Cinderford, Gloucestershire. GL14 2YL. Also if you could strip off any usable bits (inc interior) as these cars are mega rare now Please help, as the amount of Panda Selectas left in the UK must be close to single figures, and any chance of getting bits off one is a must for our selectas (my mam has one too). Aye seen that, but i don't think he has the full gearbox. Plus as the one in Gloucestershire has less than 30,000 miles on it, and its going to get flattened tomorrow, i would prefer that  |

If it's as rare as you say it is and thus so desireable, wouldn't it be worth the £30 worth of petrol to head down there yourself and get the bits you need? As you say, this opportunities don't come along all that often so when they do you have to pounce on them.

Was purely time constraints I was thinking of, but I have rang the guy and I am just waiting for a call back. Plan might be to drive down early, get there about 10am, strip the CVT box and other bits out of the car, then drive up to Composimmonite and get some A35 bits, then drive over to get the Holden ;D about 600 miles in the Scudo with temperamental electrics (will the heater/speedo/fuel gauge work  ) Edit - might have got the car a stay of execution as i want soo many bits off it. hopefully they will not crush it today and i will be allowed to come down and take the bits off it (fingers crossed everyone  ) |

Absolutely, and the best bit - the car had only done 22000 miles  It seems the car was written off because someone had kicked the rear panel, thus making it category B breaking only |
