You're not the only one who noticed it. Don't know for sure if it's a mini subframe, but it's certainly BMC. Maybe from a 1300
|

One just like it in my shed! never seen the film though. The aviators are totally OOP as well - maybe I'm best not watching it after all...

The aviators are totally OOP as well Actually, they're not - Ray-Ban was selling them to the U.S. Armed forces in WWII; General Douglas MacArthur landed on the beach in the Philippines with a pair on, theres pics of him at the time wearing them.

actually, I knew they were being made, what I meant by the OOP comment was more along the lines of 'it doesn't fit into the general look of 1940s war-torn front line fighting'! In fact all those photos in OP have a distinctly 70s feel about them...
