As their intro say...." The first six wheeled supercar" Covini C6WBehave, Bob Jankel was banging these out (well 2 of them) back in the late 70's The Panther Six - 600bhp, 200MPH (never proved) Always wondered what happen to them, looks like one has resurfaced here

Hehe, seeing that has just uncovered some deep seated childhood memory - I used to have a kiddies book on cars when I was really small and that same pic was in it.... weird...

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Celicav8 -thanks for posting a pic of the panther. I remember it from my pack of Top Trumps Supercars - It was one of the almost unbeatable ones. I've been idly trying to remeber what it was for ages, but now I know it's a Panther 6. There's loads more info on that panther club website you posted as well. also, wasn't there a guy on here who was obsessed with 6-wheeled cars?

There were some 6 wheel F1 cars for a while. Tyrel were they? March? I forget.

Posted a pic of the 100+ Interstate Jag XJS pickup a while back, and then there's that Capri/XJ hybrid from SM many years ago

I believe that the Tyrrell was sucessful as we.ll, but the lack of development by the tyre manufacturer put an end to their innovative design to reduce frontal area, yet maintain mechanical grip. It still wins in classic F1 events, but with correct tyres
