Due to the mazda's gearbox falling ill and it being in need of tyres, brakes and an exhaust, i felt it right that i should do the decent thing and give it a rest, so today i took the day off work and went hunting armed with a fistful of cash.... after an unfruitful trip to leicester, i thought i may as well return home via sunny scunny, where i picked up this little beauty ;D a very good condition 1994 Rover Mini 1275 Sprite, with 52K on the clock. a hard bargain was dealt and i knocked 500 quid off the asking price and got 6 months tax to boot ;D my insurance company were also good enough to refund me £200 of my premium. result! just need to fit the host of parts ive had waiting in the shed for the other mini to keep my fix going... Mike

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

suffolkpaul, its the 1.3.. carb is sorted already mind all the nasty areas were given a good going over, its very very good reanimation, its only got a 2 clock dash, i have a 3 clock going spare out my racing green though so that will probably find its way into it

Nicely done mate. Mini prices have gone stupid since they stopped making them, nice to see one go for a sensible price for a change

Looks very clean You can't beat a bit of A-series action, It will probably take you five minutes to realise you have only got four gears again though ;D, well it did for me when I started driving the blob, damm that phantom fifth gear

Cool stuff. Sprites only had two dials right to the end. We had a '97 Sprite 1275 EFI and that had the two dial dash. Miss that car. However it did end up spending a week in a diagnostic centre trying to deal with a gremlin which meant no tickover!

Luckily this is the carb version handy really as i'd have ended up binning the injection anyway! Mods are afoot, wheels, arches, mirrors, carb, filter exhaust, hilo's and adjustable camber arms all round. Maybe a black roof too... I've got most of the bits, ordering the rest today, and all going well the bank holiday weekend should see them fitted

Nice purchase! I've been getting urges to buy a Mini recently, but a lot of them are selling for more than I can get hold of... yours looks quite a bargain! What wheels are you gonna go for?

wheels are 6x12 deep dish superlights with 165 60 12's stretched over. I got them for my other one but decided that one needs 10's so it seemed a shame to waste them!
rest of the bits ( arches, exhaust and neg. camber arms and brackets) are all ordered now, should be here friday for a weekend of fitting lovelyness. Might even manage to get the roof black too... ;D

Very nice Just make sure you keep her washed and waxed - I bought a MINT 92 1275 Mayfair this time last year and rust has popped up since due to my shameful neglect Best of luck with her
