Ok so I want to get the tax back off the subaru, so while getting it ready for collection last night, I gathered the docs together. The car has only just been taxed, so I'm keen to get this back. They've spelt my surname wrong. Can I call someone to try and sort this out?, CAN I HELL! So what do I do now, the address is correct, do I just claim for the tax now (before the month is out!) and rectify this problem later? Or do I have to wait, and loose possibly another months tax. WHY can't they make it transferable between vehicles, my Van is due tax this month, and I could use it againts that if they'd let me. IDIOTS. Seems I'm just having the crappiest week.

its on the doc, not seen the cheque yet, was gonna cash the tax in tommorow.
Problem is the car goes TODAY, so I can't really retain the document any longer than I need to.
I'm gonna risk it, after all its THEIR mistake, they can rectify it.
Will pop a covering letter in with the V5 telling them their mistake too.

They really can be the CROWN princes of c0ck nockery.
Originally they sent the V5 on our goof back as Gavin Stephens instead of Andrew. I sent it back with the "if there is a mistake" bit on the reverse filled in and got it back for Gary Stephens, sent it back again and got one for Andrew Stuart, sent it back again, got it right.
Outsource thelot of them i tell ya. that Crapita company THEY know how to deliver efficient government service...
