The Mustang one doesn't look too bad from that angle but the cobra is just wrong. Do the 'seven' kits use mx5 uprights directly or do they have to be modified?

MK modified their Indy R kit to use MX5 components. I have one I am building right now. The first one ever outside the factory, and it was even shown on their stand at Stoneleigh. It uses the MX5 diff, drive shafts, uprights, brakes, engine, transmission, steering column, etc. Everything in fact that doesn't look like a hairdresser should be driving it. The only thing it uses that isn't MX5 is the steering rack, which is a Escort quick rack with extended tie rod ends. Living in the US, I'm stoked the MX5 is being used as a donor. The MX5 is as widely available and parts are as cheap as they are there. Sierras (called the Merkur XR4ti here) are like hens teeth. -Steve

As per, It has to be the Mitsuoka for me, typical that I love their weirdness. Could see one of those seriously pimped out. But would love an MX5 based LeSayde too even though is should be 200SX based.
