hello people. my sister is finishing uni for the summer and wants a car is it possible for her only to take out an insurance policy for those few months rather than a whole year?

dunno about insurance rob, but u never said you had a sister!!! whats her number?
(but on the insurance front i doubt it! would it not be possible for her to cancel after a certain time?!)

get it for the whole year she'll get used to it. i'm sure temp policys do exist, the old ring around is in order i recon.

Probably have to buy a year then get a refund when she cancels, not all policies do it, but most do.

refunds/cancels are expensive, you get little back, plus it leaves a black mark among companies when getting it again. you can get weekend policies for new cars, and I'm pretty sure you can get policies to do summer months for summer cars so ring a few reputable comapnies and see!
