Hi, not many of you will know me but I have been occasionaly reading threads here for a while. I build locost's and run a 16 yr old GT4 Celica and a 30 yr old Mini. I am a full time carer so get stuck at home most of the time where I have a small workshop with Myford lathe, Axminster mill, MIG, TIG and lots of other tools inc. a sandblaster and powder coating system etc. Most of my mates live 40 miles or more from here and so I have little in the way of a social life any more. If there are any people around that would like to come up and give me a hand with some of my projects and do some work on there own stuff with a bit of technical help from me then I'd like to here from you. In the summer I will maybe run the odd gathering and BBQ as I have a largish garden that is big enough for some tents. Being on the edge of Dartmoor there are some great roads to explore too! Anyway, it would be good to hear from like mided petrol heads even if it's just for a chat and a look at some of your rides.  Cheers Si. |

Aha! there is someone out there!
You are little more than a stones throw from me too. We are at Dousland, about 1/4 mile from the pub. You'll not miss us if you come over as I'm the one with all the cars, trailers and a boat in and spilling out of the drive. Lol! I'll PM you my no. and you're welcome to drop in anytime. We are sorting my second workshop at the moment so the machine tools can go in there and I can have my garage back to work in as I'm fed up with the rain and the cold! My Mate is just getting his FJ1200 ready for MOT and I have a ton of things to do so will be here most of the time I reckon.

I used to in and out of Yelverton all the time as my Nan lived there, but rarely pass by nowadays...but if i do i will look for a tidal wave of cars and boats! cheers Dave

Well the first Plymuff meet happened today, all 2 of us ;D, was good to meet you simon and we'll have to make this a regular thing. Thanks for the seats and at the mo there in bits as I'm going to dry them out and refurb them.

Good to meet up with Jan (pastyman). Hope those seats will be of use to you Bud as I'd much rather see something go to use than get binned! I'm off out now to get on with the LPG install on my Celica. Got it running again yesterday after it being to cold to want to bolt the modified manifold up over the last 2 months. Happy daze! |

I'm not too far away either, near Chagford. Been lurking on here for a very long time indeed but I've promised myself I'm going to get a bit more involved with like-minded people. My kids have finally gone to school so I might have the time to get out, tinker and be a bit more sociable |

Hey Guys,
I'm new on the forum but have been into 80's Vdubs for a while. Working on my first proper project which is a VW T25 GTi conversion. Drive a VW Mk2 GTi 8v so I'm pretty dubbed up but can see myself having a whole collection.
Currently looking for a garage share in the Exeter/Crediton area so PM me if you hear anything!

So what I wanted to say to you guys is that if you know of a small unit to let in our area, it's possible that my business could rent it and then sublet spare workshop space to RRers. Just putting that out there, in case someone knows of a unit that would be suitable but a little big, let me know. Could be a little industrial unit in a nearby village, or a barn, or whatever.
