I know its not retro, but its always horrible having your pride and joy nicked. The more eyes on the look out the more chance we can get it home safely!
I'm posting this up for a friend, his car was taken from outside his uni house on Somers road, Southsea in Pompey. Its a 2001 Peugeot 206 1.4 quiksilver edition, but it had some modifications.
It was lowered, has a Porsche back box (twin pipe), 17 inch invoit black and silver alloys, the black bumpers have been sprayed silver to match the body. It has angel eye front lights and lexus rears plus loads of other little details like the grill sprayed silver ect.
If you live in Pompey area please keep and eye out, is quite a noticeable car and stands out in a crowd. Was stolen either yesterday or the day before, REG is WF51LOD

Well we thought it could possibly have been a low loader, as there was not broken glass or anything left at the scene. It did have an alarm and it was parked right outside his house, so its unlikely to have been driven off.

A few friends of mine are in Uni down that way at the moment, I'll pass this on. Heard a lot of people having issues with door triers in Pompey, one going so far as to trying to kick the door in after a few guys had left... With my mate still inside the house. Be careful with keys and lock your doors people...

Thanks for the replies! This story has a happy ending. Miraculously, the cars been found undamaged. I've not got the whole story yet, but it looks like they re-programmed the Remote locking so their key would work and stole it that way. The police spotted and recovered it about 200m from his front door. To say he's pleased is an understatement

My Boss' Xtrail got broken into the other night, as did most of the cars on his street. Apparently they can get a fob now which overrides all central locking systems... uh oh...

My 3 series was broken into this way, they unlocked the car and dropped all the windows down before rifling through the glovebox, not able to start the car though. I reported to my fleet manager at work who contacted BMW and they had a load of reports of similar happening, the car went into the dealership for a software update on the ecu. The car never had any issues for the rest of the time i had it.
