Sadly it has come time to sell the Delica.
Since we got it it has run like a charm never missed a beat starts ever time no problems, had a full service (Engine oil and all the transmission oils replaced. Air filter all that) the fuel pump seal has been replace as all Delica’s when they get to this age normal need them done.
Iv used it as my ever day get around, and general light work. Removing xmas tress and all that really nothing to horrbal.
The inter is in good condition for a car of its age no tears or any thing like that, all the electric sunroofs work as well as the electric curtains thow they are a little temperamental.
The air con dosent work but been told that all it needs is a regas
The body is ok, no real rust there is some small patches of surfis rust. It looks like it has been used for green laning in the past as there are the fine scratches going down the side fo the body, couple of scratches and grazes going down to the primer to, and a couple of light dents nothing to nasty.
The cars real bad point are that wile the last owner had it it got broken into, they broke all the locks apart from the drivers door, and stole the radio wile doing it they busted the centre consul surround, we have a new surround (and I tell you there like poor quality wobbly children's play pony **** had to by it from a Mitsubishi dealer), iv never gotten a radio for it as iv always used my ipod.
The over drive button on the shifter is broken (common problem on the delis) iv got a small bit of paper holding the button in and it works fine, but on the delis club form there is a thread on how to repair them.
Also there is knocking coming from the front suspension iv been told that it is more then likely the ant roll bar bushes need replacing but as it doesn’t effect the running of it iv never been that worried about it.
All in all it is a great 4x4 (it will keep up with any defender and you will be keeping up in comfort
), would make a awesome green laner doesn’t need any modding to do it, brilliant for moving things around all road trips and camping all the seats fold down to make a bed, carries six people in comfort, the middle seats and swivel and move followed and back the rears can be pushed up agest the side to make on hell of a boot.
When the snow hit, it was unstoppable nothing fases this thing.
I love this thing it’s a real shame to see it going, but needs must.
