Next time you do it... Shove some rope down the spark plug hole in the head. , When the piston comes up it bunches it up and acts as a nice soft piston stop. On mine i use the provided slot behind the stator plate that no-one ever seems to mention on moped army

So that condenser mod, as simple as just extending the wire and mounting it outside the mag?

Yep. All i did was cut the wire that went from the points to the coil, connected the external condenser wire to the coil wire and bolted it on the coil bracket. You can leave the old condenser in there aswell, saves soldering up the wires that went to it then

Russ, just caught back up with this thread; looking good mate! just to clear up the indicator thing for you - if a bike is only designed to carry one person (ie: no provision for passenger with footpegs and seat space) it does not require indicators. If you are running without them, make sure you don't have any visible trace of them; as this would be classed as an inoperative system within construction and use regs and could potentially land you with a 'jim'll fix it ticket' from the rozzers.
