Well i picked the Astra up today from failing it's MoT...
Drivers side sill, entire length is sort of not there (hidden by bodykit)
Small patch of corrosion on suspension top mount, apparently a weak spot
Front suspension ball joint play
Both front disks excessively pitted
Front pads excessively worn
Rear nearside brake no effort
Handbrake no effort
Washers not working (switch is in bits, so no surprise!)
Exhaust blowing
He then quoted me £550 for it all, or "take it away and fix the easy bits yourself, bring it back for the welding, £150" which i thought was pretty reasonable. Only downside is no free retest as it needs welding, they can do them otherwise.
Just one quicky... a generic "Fast Fit" exhaust, will it have the proper VX oval tailpipe as i kinda like that, or will it have a poxy ol straight peashooter? might as well just get a £20 cheapo backbox rather than weld the pipe.
